Christine's POV

I was fixing up the last of the thing's before Erik got back. I was so nervous. I wanted Gustave to wait outside I don't want him to know or hear any of this.

I tried to control my breathing and not burst into tears. I'm so afraid.

Without any second thought Erik came in. Oh my god. Here we go...

Erik's POV

I got out of the wagon and saw Gustave sitting on the bench reading a book. He smiled when he saw me. I sat down beside him and we hug'd. "Hello son" I said very happily to be back. "Hello father mother is inside she wants to talk to you." He said going back to his book. "Alright" I kissed his forehead and looked at him one more time before going in. That was rather odd.

Christine sat in the sofa drinking a cup of tea. "Darling I'm home!" I call'd out to her hoping she's not mad. She came up and running to me she hug'd me with all her might. She then kissed me with all the passion she could offer. I guess she's not, good everything is back to normal.

Christine stoped kissing me instead she started crying. I hope it's nothing I've done. "Darling what is it?" I said a bit worried. "Erik sit down and I'll explain". She walked back to the sofa and I took of my hat, mask and cape. I walked over to her. She is so beautiful. Her hair was out and she still had that white robe. The same thing she wore that night when we 'met'. She gave me a cup and a little bit of sugar in the tea. She stoped crying and looked at me. I took a sip and sat it down on the small table in front of us. "Okay what is it?" I asked her as kindled as possible. I'm not a patient man but I have learnt to control my behaviour.

Christine sighted and started talking.

"As you know I went to dinner with the king and it was lovely but it turns out that it was not you he wanted to see. It was me." She said calmly with tears in her eyes.

Were is she going with this?

"As you know the king has a son but he needs another to feel safe if his first son should die. And since he does'nt have a queen he asked me to give him one. If not he will kill you." She said closing her eyes as if I was going to hit her.

I could'nt believe what I just heard. Why would she agree to something like this?!

"What? Are you saying you agreed?!" I almost screamed at her. I don't care. "Erik if I don't do this he will kill you don't you see I'm doing this to save your life!" She cried now we both stood up looking into each other's eyes. "Really? Well you don't need to! I will NOT accept this!" I yell'd at her. She started crying.

"What if it's a girl? Hm have you told him about your wond?" I said looking at the woman I once knew. I don't anymore. "He knows and he likes and trusts me and he promised me that this will not come out. My career will not change it." She said trying to smile.

"So you are willing to give birth to a bastard to save me?" I told her quietly with hatred in my voice. "Yes and my future child is not a bastard!" She screamed back. "YES! That is what it will become!" I screamed at her. She came closer to me. "Your forgetting one important thing." She told me snapping at me. Oh really? What is that?

"Gustave" she whispered angrily to me. I rolled my eyes. "That is not the same OUR child was conceived in LOVE this child won't." I said angrily at her.

I can't do this anymore. I can't even look at her. "Go and do this if you must but I won't be a part in this" I whispered into her ear. I left the house and got up on Caesar. I looked at Gustave who probobly heard everything from all the screaming. I looked at him with sad eyes and then left to go back to the opera. My one true home. I cannot believe it. After all this time. The Christine I know would never do this. I'm gone for two days and all of a sudden she decides to do this.

It's what I told her if she wants to be a part of this then fine but I don't want any part of it, none of it.

Christine's POV

I cried and cried. Oh my god what have I done and will do? Can't he see that everything I do. I do it for him.
