Christine's pov
I don't understand why this happened. It's to early! Nathalie came back with the doctor and everything happened so fast, I tried to blink a few times so I would'nt pass out from the pain of delivering two babies. I just want them to be healty. I don't know were Erik and I will be when this is over or if I'll survive but I know one thing. A baby always bring's people together so maybe this pregnancy is a blessing?
"And the first baby is out now Christine your next contraction will be in about 20 seconds" oh thank God. I made it now it's just one more baby and then it's over. I heard in the distance how my baby was crying and in the corner of my eye I could see Nathalie cleaning it up. Erik was beside me of course and kissed my hand. I'm so glad he is here with me, and not like last time.
"Alright Christine push!"
I did'nt know how long I pushed but finally after 10 hours it was all over. Erik held the first baby while I got the second one. "Congratulations to your two healthy girls" they are so beautiful!
I looked over at Erik and I could see the love in his eyes. His eyes met mine and he asked me what we should call them we never talked about any names.
"Are you both ready?" The doctor asked us because he had to sign the birth certificate. "Yes, as for the first baby Charlotte Rose Destler born on the 17 July at 1:00 am 1918 and for the second one, Elizabeth Anne Destler born on the 17 July at 1:40 am 1918".
Once we were finally alone as a family Gustave and Henry came in to see their sisters. Nathalie was standing in the corner in awe poor girl this probably is an odd thing to meet your boyfriends parents but anyway I'm so thankful for my family and my newest members. Erik and I are perhaps still broken but I'm shore in time that he will grow to love me again, someday.
