I heard the sound of rushing wind in my ears for a few seconds then a thud.

It felt like someone was carrying me in their arms. I heard the sound of cars in the distance.

I wasn't sure if I was dreaming or not. I was somewhere between consciousness and unconsciousness.

I could hear the distinct sound of flapping wings.

Then there was silence.

I wanted to say something. In fact, I was pretty sure that whoever or whatever had been carrying me was still with me.

I ignored the feeling and tried to sleep.

"Camila! Wake up!"

I groaned.

"I heard that. Now get up before your breakfast gets cold." He said through the door.

"Just go! I'll wake up later!" I yelled.

I heard him sigh loudly. "Fine. Just be safe, ok?"

"Oh shut up and go. I can protect myself you know." I answered.

He didn't say anything back so I figured that he'd left already.

"Urgh."

I got up and went into the bathroom. After a long hot shower, I wrapped myself in a towel and walked back to my room.

I shoved some clothes on, left my hair to dry by itself and walked down the stairs.

I found my idiot brother wolfing down his cereal in the kitchen.

"Bout time you showed up." He said.

"You've been eating since that time you called me?"

"I'm going to work till late today." He replied, ignoring my question.

"Oh so can I go to Harry's?" I asked.

He nodded.

I gave him a hug which he hated but I did it anyway.

"Urgh just stay safe ok?" He asked.

I smiled wide. "Of course. When has anything bad ever happened to me?"

He rolled his eyes. "That doesn't mean it won't happen."

He finished off his breakfast and was out of the house in a matter of minutes. As soon as I heard his car start, I called my boyfriend.

"Lala." He said as soon as he picked up.

"Haz! Guess what?"

"What?" He asked.

"Drey's working late and he said that I could come over."

I could almost feel him smiling. "That's great. I'll be right there."

I grinned. "Ok now hang up so I can get dressed."

"What? No you hang up."

"Haz just hang up. Please." I begged.

He chuckled. "Fine. Why don't we hang up at the same time?"

"On the count of three. One."

"Two." He said.

"Three."

I waited for the beep but nothing came.

"Haz?"
