Amongst many things that Edward can do at his age was to find centrifugal force before falling on his face when he almost tripped while skipping-in a manly way, mind you-in excitement to his girlfriend's place. Finding his footing, he cocked his head like a rooster to check the periphery if paparazzi was around to snap that in social media.

Nope? Alright. The coast is cleared for Mason.

Quickly taking out his hands from his pocket to enter the passcode to the door, Edward's hand brushed on something hard which made him grin. His heart began leaping out of place and he was itching to kiss.

The door made a chirping sound as it unbolted, and Edward entered the unit casually like it was his own home. Long-term dating gave him that privilege in another person's house, and soon enough, perhaps they can take ownership of one.

Edward was expecting the TV to be blasting off since his girlfriend was home, but sound, aside from his footsteps, was mute. Looking around at least for the shadow of his love, Edward's attention was instead caught by the two long strips of red tape hugging the length of the white living room wall. Cringing a bit, he thought of the difficulty of removing the residue of the tape if ever Maymay decided to change it (and in his honest opinion, she should because the design was beyond his interior comprehension), but just shook off the thought as he traced his fingers to find where it leads to.

Running his hands along the wall as he walked, Edward reached Maymay's bedroom. There he heard the low screech of a tape being stretched, and the sight of his girlfriend laying said tape on the floor a few inches from the foot of the door.

"Uhm, May?"

Maymay flinched in surprise when Edward spoke to get her attention.

"Nakita mo?"

"Yung?"

"Yung pula?"

"Even if I wished I didn't, I couldn't. Ang laki-laki, Maymay." Edward replied in a matter-of-factly tone, dumbfounded at the question.

Maymay just rolled her eyes as she usually would when Edward was getting too smart for her taste. She just set aside the tape and scissors on her bedside table.

"Did you decide to redecorate? Advocate for equality? I'm not familiar with the style..."

Edward was about to add a few more sarcastic quips when Maymay held out her hand to stop him from coming closer (and to shut him up) and, with a few gestures, had him standing behind the two red lines by the door. She had her serious-face on and it got Edward antsy and even a bit sweaty.

Where was his excitement from before?

"Makinig ka, Baboy." Maymay began, voice low, doing belly breathing three times before continuing, "Kung handa ka na magpalit ng diaper, mapuyat, magbantay ng 24/7 ng walang bayad, makita akong losyang at mataba, tumawid ka sa mga linyang yan."

Edward squinted at the lines, "Sa kabilang buhay?"

Oops, she wasn't amused.

"Puwede nating aregluhin yan kapag pinagpatuloy mo yang pamimilosopo mo."

It was probably a red day, so it was solely him and his solid supporters who would be humored by his jokes, "Why are you so being so masungit? Are you on your period?"
