The ice cream started to melt and I watched with a frown as it dripped onto the sidewalk.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want it to end like this." He wouldn't look at me, a matching frown ran across his lips.
I scoffed.
"It?" He looked confused, and that's when everything became clear to me. "Our relationship was never something I saw as having an ending point. We weren't an 'it'. We were a relationship. I guess that where we're different."
