"Hey, it's gonna be okay. Just breathe."
She looked at me and I saw it. Her soul was broken; a shattered mess of every secret she's had to keep.
"Breathe?" She said. Her breathe was irregular; shaky and loud. "I can't breathe! I haven't been able to breathe since he left. I'm suffocating, no, I'm drowning in this pain. It's filling my lungs and killing my brain and I'm tired of trying to swim. It's an ocean and it's consuming me, he was my life raft. But now... He's the waves that are pulling me under."
