ROAD TO NOWHERE

Chapter 30

After showers and a quick breakfast, they set out on the road. Avi drove since he knew the area.

Tim had never taken the time to sight-see in California when he came through. So he was excited to see Avi's stomping grounds.

"This is where I used to hang out when I was younger. Whenever I wanted to be alone I would come here." Avi says as he drives into what looked like to the others a State Park.

"Look at the size of those f*cking trees." Tim says as he stares out the windshield.

"Holy sh*t." Adam adds.

"THEY'RE HUGE!" Austin says loudly.

"They're sequoias." Avi chuckles as he parks the car.

Tim, Adam and Austin get out of the car, all with their jaws dropped in shock as they stare up at the massive trees. Avi smiles as he reaches up, placing his fingers under Tim's chin and closes his mouth.

"I've never seen anything like this before in my life. They're beautiful." Tim says.

"Aren't they though." Avi smiles as he snuggles into his lover's side, wrapping his arms around his waist. "I used to take long walks along the trails."

"You weren't afraid of getting lost?" Austin asks as he snaps some pictures. "Or running up on a Sasquatch?"

"No." Avi chuckles.

"It's actually a very romantic place." Tim smiles as he lays his head on top of his lover's. "So peaceful and quiet."

"Maybe we can come back. Alone." Avi says softly.

"You read my mind." Tim chuckles quietly.

"Can we go see the 'Hollywood' sign?" Austin asks.

"We can't leave California without seeing the 'Hollywood' sign." Adam laughs. 

"Sure, it's quite a drive so we need to get on the road." Avi says as he takes Tim's hand as they walk back to the car.

A few hours later they arrive in Los Angeles, at the famous 'Hollywood' sign, overlooking the famous city.

"WOW!!" Austin giggles loudly as they get out of the car. "This is so awesome."

"Here are some fun facts about the letters." Avi smiles. "The 'H' is owned by Hugh Hefner and one of the 'O's is owned by rock star Alice Cooper."

"Really? You can actually buy the letters?" Tim asks with a furrowed brow.

"I guess so. That is if you're rich enough." Avi chuckles.

"Isn't it rumored to be haunted?" Adam asks.

"More facts about the famous sign." Avi smiles. "Back in the early 30s, an actress by the name of Peg Entwistle jumped from the letter 'H' to her death. She had moved to Los Angeles from New York after a fail acting career, hoping to make it big here. Unfortunately, her career failed here too. She became severely depressed and committed suicide by jumping from the letter. People claim to have seen her apparition."

"Wow, you're just a cute little book of knowledge, aren't you." Tim chuckles, slipping his arm around his lover's waist and kissing him on top of the head.

Avi giggles as he looks up at Tim. His smile falters as he reaches up and gently rubs a finger over Tim's busted lip.

"I'm so sorry." He whispers softly.

"Shhh." Tim says, shaking his head. "Enough of the apologies. Alright?"

"I shouldn't have hit you." Avi answers.

"Avi, Sweetie, you had every right. I did you wrong and I'm sorry." Tim says as he brushes Avi's hair back behind his ear.

"Now look who's apologizing." Avi smirks.

"Okay." Tim chuckles. "Sorries have been said, forgiveness has been given. Let's move on. Deal?" 

"Deal." Avi chuckles as he and Tim shake hands.

"Now that yall got that settled, can we go get something to eat." Austin chuckles. "I'm starving."

"I know this great little bar-b-que place ..." Avi smiles.

"BAR-B-QUE??" The other three says in unison.

"Honey, we can eat the best bar-b-que in Texas." Tim laughs, shaking his head.

"Okay, Mr. Foust. There's a place called 'Beer Belly'." Avi says with a smirk.

"You trying to be cute?" Tim says as he raises a brow.

"Mhmm." Avi smiles and nods. "No, but seriously, there is a restaurant called 'Beer Belly' and they have awesome food."

"Well, you can't go wrong with a name like that. Right, Tim?" Austin laughs as he pats Tim on the stomach.

"I hate yall." Tim pouts as he heads for the car.

"Awww, Sweetie, wait." Avi says as he catches Tim by the arm. "I'm sorry." Avi says softly as he begins to kiss along Tim's jawline.

"God, I've missed you." Tim whispers as he wraps his arms around the smaller man's waist, pulling him closer. Kissing him with passion.

"I've missed you too." Avi whispers into the kiss.

"Uh, excuse me?" Austin says, crossing his arm over his chest. "We are the ones that are on our honeymoon, not yall."

"And you're telling us that because??" Tim asks with a slight smirk.

"We're the ones that are supposed to be making out in public." Adam chuckles as he slides his arm around his husband.

"Who's stopping you?" Tim laughs.

They arrive at the restaurant and are seated at an outside table. After placing their food order, the waitress brings them the pitcher of beer that they had ordered.

"Wait. Yall haven't even gone on a honeymoon yet?" Avi asks, striking up a conversation.

"Avi, we haven't even been married a week yet." Adam laughs.

"I guess that was kinda my fault." Tim says. "I sorta freaked out on them."

"It's not like we haven't had sex since we've been married. Because we have." Austin says with a smile.

"Yeah, but you guys need a real honeymoon." Avi replies.

"You might say that this is our honeymoon. We've never been to California before. What we've seen so far is absolutely beautiful. I have a week off work. We're together so, yeah, this is our honeymoon." Adam smiles and kisses his husband on the temple.

"Then why aren't you guys back at the hotel, f*cking." Tim chuckles as he take a drink of his beer.

"A honeymoon isn't only about f*cking, Timmy." Austin laughs.

"It's not?" Tim asks, tilting his head. "I thought it was."

"Well, Avi, I know how you guys will spend your entire honeymoon if you two ever get married." Adam laughs.

"Hey, you're not gonna hear no complaints from me." Avi laughs as he cuddles closer to his lover.
