28 - Extracting the fox

- Nobody's POV -

Naruto was... Hanging in the sky. Red chakra came out his mouth and eyes. He was trapped in a blue chakra ball. The Nine-Tails was getting extracted right at this moment.

''OH NO! WE HAVE TO STOP THEM! GIVE THEM SOME TIME MORE AND NARUTO WILL BE DONE FOR!'' Gaara yelled, out of experience. When Shukaku got extracted from him, the whole village came to the rescue, and Lady Chiyo gave her life to him. Temari and Kankurou noticed him trembling a bit.

''So troublesome,'' Shikamaru said and made the first step by throwing kunai at the Deva Pain. The rest gathered all the chakra they possessed and got ready for battle. They all shared glances with each other, trying to see if they understand each other, which they did.

Pain dodged the kunai, while still standing on the Ghetto Statue's finger. It was very important since the process of the extraction would only be slower when he got off the finger. When the allied villages noticed, they were all smirking, grinning, smiling and some even laughing. ''What are you laughing at?'' Tobi asked. ''Tobi wants to laugh with you guys!''

''We're happy because we are SO gonna kick your asses!'' They all said at the same time.

''You guys are cocky. Think you can kill us all now?'' Nagato asked, interested. Sasuke walked up to him. ''Not kill you. We can't. We know. But just wait.''

Sakura and Ino smiled at each other, gave each other a 'hn' and then both jumped to Zetsu. Sasuke and Kakashi were busy with Nagato, while the others took on the remaining five Pains, Konan, Hidan and Tobi.

''Take this, you mutant!'' Ino and Sakura said, clenching their fists and hit Zetsu. He fell off the finger. The girls high-fived. This was going to be a battle who was going to stand on the finger. Sakura and Ino, to stop Kurama from exiting the body, or Zetsu who was trying to speed up the process of obtaining the Kyuubi.

''KNOW TRUE PAIN! ALMIGHTY PUSH!'' The Deva Path Pain said to Gaara. Gaara dodged the push by jumping on his sand and flying into the sky.

''That's impressive, giving chakra to your  'Five Paths of Pain' while also having some to protect yourself. You almost possess as much chakra as our little knucklehead ninja.'' Kakashi said. Nagato closed his eyes and jumped on the finger. When Zetsu couldn't stand on it, he would just replace him.

Shikamaru and Sai were coming at Hidan, full speed. Temari and Kankurou were keeping an eye on them, while having a battle with the Animal Path Pain. ''I WANT MY REVENGE!'' Shikamaru yelled while trying to stab Hidan with his kunai. Hidan got behind him and pushed him off the finger. Sai grinned. He was focused on Shikamaru, so he had all the time he needed to create a seal...

Tobi shrugged and watched the blonde boy. Yamato and Shino tried to attack him, but the body part that was going to hit disappeared every time they 'touched' him. Kiba, Neji, Lee and Tenten were fighting the Preta Path Pain.

Konan was just protecting herself with her paper on the finger from random attacks.

The other two Pains just were continuing the extraction. They were amused by the fights.

Sai had finished his seal and nodded to Shikamaru, who just laughed evil at Hidan. Hidan cocked an eyebrow. Then the genius planted his paper bombs everywhere around the Jashin lover. He captured Hidan in it. The bombs were on his body. Shikamaru grinned. Sai waited patiently. ''You fool I can't die, I'm immortal!'' Hidan yelled.

''We know that, but that doesn't mean your body can't be broken too...'' The ponytailed boy said. He activated the paper bombs, making Hidan yell something about unfairness and revenge. Once his body fell apart, Sai sealed Hidan in one of his scrolls. They ran to Gaara, who had trouble with getting the Deva Path off of the finger. Shikamaru silently captured the Deva Path with his Strangle Jutsu, allowing Gaara to make a 'Sand Coffin' for the poor Pain.

''Yahiko!'' Konan and Nagato yelled. Even though they knew it was not really Yahiko, it was his body. They both lost their focus, and both got hit by an attack. Nagato was losing his balance but was still standing at the end, while Konan fell of the finger, making the process slow down a little longer again.

They all saw the blue chakra ball get smaller, which means the Kyuubi was mostly already in the statue. Sasuke and Kakashi managed to get Nagato down, and he couldn't get up there anymore.

Konan was stuck, the sand was getting on her body too. Shikamaru helped the girls to get the Zetsu away, he escaped, not willing to die. Tobi was not paying attention to Sakura, who punched him on his mask. It had a little crack in it. Tobi didn't want to be discovered, and got away to repair his mask. The Deva Path and Preta path died. The Animal Path was already off of the finger, not knowing that she still had to stand on it. The two sand siblings didn't mind the battle, they were just having fun.

Nagato gritted his teeth when he saw that Gaara spoke the same two words again to Konan. He saw blood coming from out of the sand, which made him mad. He ran to the sand. When it disappeared, he saw Konan in pain. She was bleeding everywhere, and fighting to still be conscious. Nagato sighed, and decided she was more important to him then peace forever. Without her, there was no such thing as true peace for him. He left the hideout too.

The animal Path eventually died, because she had no more summons. The sand siblings were sad when they heard that, but then killed her. Then they saw something horrible. The red chakra was getting smaller and smaller, it was now as thin as a thread.

''NO!'' Two people yelled. Sasuke and Sakura jumped to the two remaining Pains, each jumping on one of them and pushing them off. Sasuke pushed the Human Path and Sakura the Asura path.

The thread came back into Naruto and he fell down own the ground.
