Honestly I think this is the most fun Carter's had since his parents died; I mean he was genuinely happy and not just putting on a show and I guess I had Dejon to thank for that, he knew I came to visit Carter every weekend so he had this whole day planned out. First we had breakfast which Carter cooked, I was surprised because when my aunt and uncle were alive Carter never had to do anything... I didn't even think he knew how to cook before coming here but now he was cooking better than our grandma. After breakfast Dejon took us to laser tag; it was me and Carter against Dejon and Valentino needless to say we won easily because me and Carter used to do laser tag all the time so our teamwork was flawless, after that we went go-kart racing and I decided to sit that out so I could text Tay.... he was coo and the dick was the best I've ever had so I was low key salty that he went to Memphis because other than seeing Carter whenever I was here I had to fuck with Tay. While I was typing another message came through and it was from my dad which I ignored because Carter was walking over to the table and I knew how he felt about my dad......

"How sure are you that ol'girl is pregnant with you baby?" I asked quietly because I didn't want someone to overhear us.

"About ninety to ninety-five percent sure... she was a virgin when we fucked and I didn't us a condom, I'm not an idiot I know there's a very real possibility that she carrying my baby. We've been talking and abortion is something that I've thrown out a few times but I don't think she's with it, so I'll have to start looking at other options." Carter said quietly, while my phone kept vibrating on the table. "Yo who is blowing your phone up?" He asked looking at me suspiciously.

"That nigga Tay......" I said smirking and he shook his head. "What he got a way with words and that dick should come with a warning label because I'm hooked..... now I just gotta work on turning him out because that looks to good to pass up." I said remembering Tay's ass as he fucked Josiah. "Are you going to tell Ronnie about the baby?" I asked and Carter shook his head.

"Nah..... I know by me telling him that I might have a kid on the way would only push him further away from me. I know Ronnie, dude still loves me and I couldn't hurt him like that..... I just gotta figure some things out and then work on Operation: Antwan is a Bitch Ass Nigga to split them up." Carter said smirking.

"Bro just let that go please..... Ronnie doesn't want you and you have too much other shyt going on to be worried about a nigga that clearly doesn't give a damn about you, I wouldn't be surprised if he was getting fucked right now by that nigga Antwan and it seems the harder you try to pull him back to you the further he gets." I said looking in my cousin's eyes.

"You just don't give up on love..... and I love Ronnie so I can't just walk away without trying to at the very least repair what I fucked up." Carter said. "And you're going to help me..... Antwan is a nigga just like you and me, so I know when presented with the opportunity to cheat he'll probably take it and that's where you come in...... bro turn you phone off or answer it because I can't think straight." Carter said and I looked at my phone and smirked me and Tay's text messages were pretty X-rated before I could get too horny looking at the pic Tay had just sent me I got a message from my dad telling me to call him A.S.A.P.

TAY'S TEXT

"Ayy I gotta take this......." I said getting up while Carter started watching a video of him and Ronnie. "Dad you know mom doesn't want you calling me and I'm with Carter right now so this is really a bad time." I said looking back at Carter who was still focused on the video.

"That's good Romeraux..... I want you to get close to that nigga, I found out some stuff that could be very useful to me... I mean us in the future, just keep playing the loving cousin role and let me take care of the rest." My dad said and I rolled my eyes.

"Dad I don't want any part of your schemes, Carter is your nephew and you're trying to take everything away from him....... I just don't think it's rig....."

"BOY LISTEN TO WHAT THE FUCK I'M TELLING YOU TO DO!!! Look Ro' this is nothing against Carter it's just revenge for what his dad did to me..... there are things you don't know and things I wanna tell you but for right now the best thing for you to do is to listen to what the fuck I'm telling you. I'll call you back later." He said hanging up and I swear sometimes it was like my dad was a different person.... especially when he got drunk, all he would talk about is the ultimate betrayal and getting payback on the snake who I learned as I got older meant my uncle.

"Ayy Romeraux.... we're about to go get something to eat." Valentino said and I looked down; I got Carter in one ear telling me to help him break up Ronnie and Antwan, I got my dad in the other ear telling me he's planning on doing something to my cousin and I was caught in the middle; I knew I had to choose a side and honestly the path for me was clear.

"Carter we really gotta talk bro......." I said quietly. "But not here, after we finish with these niggas we can go to my hotel room and I'll tell you everything." I said and Carter nodded. Once we left the go-kart place Dejon took us to lunch, then we went on campus and chilled there for a second, I knew Dejon was trying to keep us busy mainly Carter and for the most part it was working but I could tell Carter was still thinking about what I had to tell him.

"What do y'all wanna do now?" Dejon asked.

"I wanna go chill with my girl.... I was so close to fuckin her last night but Natasha fucked that up for me." Valentino said.

"I actually just wanna chill with my cousin if that's coo with y'all....." Carter said and Dejon nodded, Dejon and Valentino went back to the group home while me and Carter went to my hotel room. I was kinda nervous about telling him what my dad said because Carter was known to have a temper. "Aight so what's going on?" Carter asked sitting on my bed.

"My dad called me earlier, he wants me to get closer to you so that he can.... well I'm not exactly sure why he wants me to get close to you but he keeps talking about revenge and shyt like that. I'm not going to lie I didn't believe he was crazy at first but the more I think about it he really did hate your dad...... and I believe he did all the stuff you said he did." I said looking at the wall.

"I really don't get what his beef with me is..... I mean what else can he take from me? He's taken all my money, all my belonging, my parents.... what else is there for him to take. The only thing I have left is Ronnie and I don't think he knows about that......" Carter said and I shook my head.

"Carter get your fuckin head off of Ronnie for five minutes damn.... this is serious. This is just another thing added to a long list of shyt you need to be worried about and quite frankly bruh Ronnie should even be in the top one hundred. My dad is pissed about something and that should be your main concern... that and your kid." I said looking into his eyes.

"I can't..... Ronnie means more to me than you'll ever realize and if I don't focus on him then I'll break and nobody wants to see that. I've been holding everything together because of Ronnie and if I let everything I'm feeling out at once....... It's going to be bad." Carter said. "Right now we compartmentalize..... you focus on what your dad is up to and I'll worry about everything else; and when I need you to make a move on Antwan I'm going to need you to do that for me aight?" Carter asked and I nodded, there was no swaying him so the best thing I could do was stand by him to make sure he doesn't go overboard.

"My mom wanted to invite you to Thanksgiving Dinner..... my dad's not going to be there so you don't have anything to worry about." I said trying to change the subject.

"Nah I think I'm going to chill at the house with my boys.... maybe I'll stop by for Christmas or some random weekend." Carter said and he pulled out his phone and started watching the video of him and Ronnie again. I really needed to find someone to take his mind off of Ronnie because this shyt was becoming an obsession.... maybe when we moved up here next month I could find someone at my school to hook Carter up with, I just hoped he didn't do anything too crazy before then and I hope that whatever my dad was planning didn't cause Carter to completely lose it...................
