The days following Thanksgiving were pretty dull, at least for me; Jace seemed to have a good weekend with Kameron, Tay gave me a very detailed account of everything that happened between him, Josiah and Romeraux, Dejon pretty much chilled in the house and Valentino spent the weekend with Jasmine. For the most part I just chilled over Antwan's house, there was something serene about being over there; maybe it had something to do with the fact I was used to being in a house full of people and Antwan's house was usually empty.... whatever the case whenever we got finished with practice we would come and chill here until it was time for me to head back to the house. Since that conversation with Carter it was like we haven't seen each other which was a good thing because the last thing I needed right now was another confrontation especially considering that tomorrow night after the game me, Antwan and his cousin Raheim were supposed to drive to Dayton and meet up with that dude Smoke.

"BABY COME HELP ME WASH MY HAIR!!!!" Antwan yelled from his bathroom, which was literally like five feet from where I was sitting so I don't understand why he was yelling. But I got up and walked into the bathroom where Antwan was leaning in his tub with head under the faucet; I sat next to him and started helping wash his hair and of course, he started whining. "Oww, you're being too rough." He said with a little smirk.

"You need to cut this shyt...." I said running my fingers through his hair and smiling. "Real talk I think you would look sexy ass fuck with a fade." I said kissing the side of his head.

"I look sexy period..... nah but in all honesty are you nervous about Friday?" Antwan asked and I shrugged, I was beyond nervous but I didn't want him thinking I was getting cold feet. "Yeah, I feel you, if we win on Friday we're definitely in the playoffs and the next few games really don't matter." Antwan said and I rolled my eyes, then he started laughing. "I'm just fuckin with you bruh gimme a kiss, everything will work out with your family for all we know they've been looking for you too." Antwan said leaning towards me and just as our lips started to touch he shook his head getting me wet.

"MAN YOU PLAY TOO FUCKIN MUCH!!!!!" I yelled splashing water in his face then the next thing I knew we were having a water fight in his bathroom, and it wasn't until I stood there soaked from head to toe that I realized that I didn't have any clothes to change into. "You see what you did?" I asked holding my arms out, Antwan stood there with his hand on his chin then started to strip.

"Here I'll put them in the washer and dryer, you can wear some of my basketball shorts..... or nothing your choice." Antwan said walking over to me and helping me pull my clothes off. "I'll be right back." Antwan said kissing me before walking out the bathroom, a couple minutes later we were laying in his bed just talking quietly.

"Are you ready for Winter Break?" I asked and he shrugged. "Come on you gotta be excited, that's two whole weeks outta school no practice or anything we can spend the whole day doing whatever we want." I said kissing him.

"How mad would you be if I got you something for Christmas? I know you said no gifts but I can't help it, I love you and if I see something I know you'll like I gotta get it for you." Antwan said smiling and I smacked him with a pillow, Christmas was my least favorite holiday because I felt the meaning of Christmas had been lost.

"Antwan....." I started to say but he had pushed his lips to mine and within minutes our kisses turned into moans and nothing else in the world mattered but us......... Around eleven Antwan had dropped me back off at the house, I really wanted to stay over his house but he wasn't going to school tomorrow and had a lot of stuff he needed to take care of.

"Make sure your bag is packed before the game Ronnie because we're leaving right afterward and I don't wanna keep that dude Smoke waiting....." Antwan said and I saw him shiver slightly, he swore up and down that Smoke was an assassin or something. "I'll call you when I get home, I love you." He said kissing me.

"I love you too..... next time I see you, you better have gotten a haircut." I said smiling as I got out his car, Antwan waited until I was inside before pulling off and I walked into the living room where Dejon and Carter were sitting watching Catfish. "Ayy you cook?" I asked Dejon who shook his head.

"Nah it's still some leftovers in there from Thanksgiving." Dejon said, lazy ass nigga......

"So what that nigga Antwan didn't feed you? How disappointing." Carter said smirking and I knew he was trying to get a reaction but I was over the whole tit for tat thing with him, I just wanted to move on without any drama, I didn't want to argue so I turned around and started walking out but Carter had to get one last jab in. "LOVE YOU BOO!!!"

"Carter you are such a fuckin idiot....." Dejon mumbled quietly though I still heard him.

"What he loves me.... he told me so himself so I'm just letting it be known that I love him too." Carter said laughing, God I couldn't wait for this weekend...................... The next few days were all the same school, practice, Antwan's, home until Friday rolled around and before I knew it the game was over (we won) and now it was time to meet up with Smoke.

"Baby you remember my cousin Raheim right?" Antwan said pulling me over to his cousin, who nodded but turned back to his phone conversation. "Last chance to back out, I told you I'm with you every step of the way and if you wanna back out I'm coo with that." Antwan said grabbing my hand.

"I'm ready...... let me just go tell my bros we're leaving." I said walking away and I noticed Antwan and Raheim had started arguing quietly. "Ayy I'm getting ready to go." I said looking at Dejon and Tay.

"You should really let us come with you, just in case you need some backup." Tay said and I shook my head.

"Nah I appreciate it but..... if there's any trouble I'll call y'all, Dayton is only an hour away but I'm sure Dejon can cut that time in half." I said smiling.

"Aight RonRon keep us posted." Dejon said pulling me into a brotherly hug.

"I packed all your good clothes so you don't go down there looking like..... well you. Make sure you take a lot of pictures and if you have any brothers slide them my number and if you have any sisters....... well I just hope they didn't inherit your sense of style." Jace said laughing. I looked over at Valentino and Carter who were talking to Jasmine and some girl and figured I should just go before........ The hour drive when by quick but I learned a lot about Antwan from his cousin.

"Baby I'm not afraid of mimes.... I just think they're stupid and a waste of oxygen, and yeah if I see one I'm likely to hit them but I'm definitely not afraid of them." Antwan said shaking his head.

"When we were like six our parents took us to the circus and there were mimes there and one of them actually made Twan think he was trapped in a box, I swear I've never seen him cry so much." Raheim said laughing.

"Leave my baby alone....." I said looking at Antwan who was trying not to laugh. "Where's this dude at he told us to be here at eleven and it's eleven now and it's supposed to snow around midnight and I'm not trying to be......" Antwan shivered again and that dude Smoke appeared outta nowhere or at least that's what it seemed like. "I'll go talk to him....." I said getting out the car but Antwan jumped out as well.

"I'm not letting you go alone....." He said grabbing my hand as we walked over to Smoke. "Wassup?" Antwan said his voice shaking a little, Antwan may not be afraid of mimes but I knew Smoke made him nervous as fuck; Smoke nodded but then turned to me.

"This took less time than I thought..... but there's an elderly woman who's been looking for her grandson, after doing some digging I'm almost certain that you are her grandson consider how perfectly the timelines match up. There's still a chance I could be wrong but there's nothing wrong with talking to her, here's her address.... see expecting you." Smoke said handing me a piece of paper with an address on it.

"Does she want me to....... where did he go?" I asked looking around but that dude was gone. "I guess she wants me to come over now....." I said quietly.

"Baby it's late, you know old people go to bed early why don't we just go to the hotel and we can go over there first thing in the morning." Antwan said and I nodded. I thought I was ready for this but I was scared maybe a good night sleep was exactly what I needed before I met someone who could potentially be my grandma.........................
