Not so Typical

Chapter 3

Skylar's POV

         Dad's voice was so intimidating I shrank back and whimpered. "don't back down child. Remember you are powerful."    But why me I couldn't even shift at sixteen.  I heard a sigh in my head "Don't you see? I put you through all of these test to see if you were truly worthy. After all of these years you stayed kind instead of becoming cruel like others. After the moon goddess's speech I knew I had a smile stretching from ear to ear.

      I ran swiftly through the trees, and just before I reached the edge of the forest I shifted into my human form. I looked around for the clothes we had all around the territory. Luckily I found one of my dad's uniforms. I tucked it in so it wouldn't seem to big. "Wait." I stopped. " You have to run away. I know it seems sudden but trust me."   Can I grab some clothes first, oh and maybe some supplies as well. She seemed to ponder on this for a while before she gave a sigh of defeat..."Fine but make it quick and dont let anyone see you." I successfully ran to my room without getting caught. I grabbed my backpack and filled it up with the few jeans I had and a few old t-shirts.

       Not wanting to risk being caught I snuck out the window. Luckily since I was an Omega I was on the second floor. I looked down and saw no oneness I took this as an opportunity to run for the border.

          After running for an hour in human form I decided to take a break near a stream. I looked around and saw that I was only half way to the border. Being the third largest pack in the world had its advantages. I strained my ears listening for the presence of another wolf. After not hearing anything. I shifted into wolf form.

       After running in wolf form for 10 minutes I reached the border. I walked over to the invisible barrier when I heard a loud menacing growl. I slowly turned around.

  A/N: Suspense... so what about this chapter? I'm trying to make all my chapters longer with more dialogue. So that's it for now I'll try to update tonite or tomorrow morning. So until next time my little werewolves.
