I opened the door to see the entire left side of the living room destroyed. I coughed as I took a breath of the drywall-filled air. I could hear people outside yelling at whatever had destroyed my wall. I saw a figure, a man, about the same height as me on the other side of the room. He was standing still, but breathing heavily.
"Hello?" I said tentatively. He looked up. Mark?
"Where is he?" That was not Mark. His voice boomed and echoed through the room, nothing about it sounded like Mark, except maybe the pitch.
"Who?" I stepped back, feeling a wall behind me. This guy, whoever he was, meant business. I didn't want to be in the middle of it.
"You're covering up for him! I know he's here."
        "Who?!" I asked again.
"The Nephalem!!" He spread two glowing pink wings behind him and I could feel his voice in the floor. I shrunk back, my eyes darting around the room for something I could use to defend myself.
"Nephalem?" I said gingerly, my voice shaking. As he stepped closer to me, I could see he really was Mark. Then it dawned on me, he was just like Anti. Whatever was controlling him was a Nephalem and had chosen his body to use. I was shaken from my thoughts as I saw how close to me he was. He collected two pink orbs in his hand, and I knew they were meant for me. I dove out of the way, very narrowly missing them. They went clean through the wall beside me, and my eyes went wide. I felt way had been a metal pipe behind me, and I grasped it, holding it in front of me to defend myself. He stopped and laughed, and it felt like the room shook. Anti, where the fuck are you? He stood there, with a smug grin on his face.
"Try me, pathetic human," I stood up, suddenly feeling courageous, and I leapt at a him, pipe ready to go. With one of his wings he knocked me out of the air in a split second, I hit the wall, the breath knocked out of me, and my vision was fading in and out as I tried to breathe again. Then the pain kicked in. My arm was definitely broken, and I was in no shape to go all Laura Croft and get back up and fight again. I lay there, now easy for the Nephalem to pick off, until I saw Anti beside me. It was the first time I had ever been happy to see him. He took control of my body, letting me still see and hear, but the rest of my functions were his. He healed my arm and everything else making him weak. He played dead for awhile, not opening his one green eye. The Mark-Nephalem crouched down and looked at me with glowing pink eyes, but besides their bright colour, they felt no emotion or compassion. The smug grin on his face was still there, and he simply looked at my 'struggling' body. "I will enjoy this," he held out his hand, ready to kill me with his magic. My heart quickened as his hand got closer and Anti didn't do anything. Then his green eye opened, and I could see the shock on 'Mark's' face. He pulled his arm back, and Anti went for his throat. He pinned him to the floor, showing no mercy. Mark kicked him in the gut, and Anti hit the wall. He fell down, but he wasn't ready to stop yet. He shot some magic at Mark, made a false version of himself, confusing him. He snuck around behind him, and as Mark still concentrated on the decoy, Anti used his claws to tear up his back. Mark screamed in pain, he flipped around to attack Anti, but he was already on top of that, and punched him, hard, square in the chest. Mark stumbled back tripping on the wall he had knocked out. He lay still, but I had a feeling he wasn't done yet. Anti slowly walked over to him, checking to see if he was indeed dead. Anti poked his nose, then jumped back. He didn't do anything. Maybe he was dead. Anti took the opportunity to raise his clawed hand and slicing deep into the wing closest to him. Mark roared to life, literally. The wing dripped blood everywhere, and he was ready to kill Anti for good now. They both leapt into the air, Mark having the upper hand with his wings, pinned Anti to the ground, but he wasn't going to roll ever just yet. He bit Mark in the shoulder, not afraid to leave a mark.  Taken by surprise, Anti was able to turn the tables and pin Mark down, going for his neck again. Mark went for the same idea, but I could tell he was much stronger then Anti, and was winning. I could hear Anti start to choke, and he sunk his teeth into Mark's arm, but he only screamed, not letting go. Anti's attempts were getting weaker. Anti. Anti we don't have a chance, we need to leave before one of us dies. He didn't want to. Not in the least. He had been stewing up hatred for the Nephalem for  god knows how long, and he was losing on his one chance to kill one of them. After he was almost out of air, he used his magic to stun Mark, but not before he left a deep gash on Anti's neck. Then I remembered: this was my body. That gash would still be on me when he left. And humans can't heal magically like they can. Anti sprinted away, jumped out of the building, going all spiderman as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop, trying to get distance between the Nephalem and wherever Anti was taking us. He slowly healed the large wound on my neck as we went along after I said that Mark would've able to follow the trail of blood straight to us. He continued hopping from rooftop to rooftop, occasionally using magic to glide through the air and checking his back often. So far, we hadn't seen him again, but that's what scared me.
