There she was once again, chained up in the same icy cell she was locked up in many, many years ago. Artemis only now noticed the tight chains locked around her wrists. Of course, her first instinct was to pull as hard as she could, trying to rip them loose. But it was of no use; the chains were frozen stuck.

It was certainly no consolation for her mind, knowing that Edmund did not escape from the Witch on time. He was captivated by her power and exterior, and so he let himself be enchanted and used. She wondered if he had said anything to his siblings about her being captured by the Witch. She wondered if he had gotten back home safely.
Letting out a loud sigh and groan, she leaned back to rest against an iced wall, immediately shooting forward when she felt the extremely low temperature spreading all over her back. "Damned chains. Damned ice. Damned woman" she groaned to herself as she threw down her hands into her lap again.

The bleeding girl lowered her head for a moment, before raising it once again and inspecting her surroundings. She wanted to find a way out, as soon as she could. She wanted to get out right now. There was one Cyclops guarding her cell, for the Witch's extra protection, since she knew what Artemis was capable of. And there was one Minotaur and a Minoboar guarding the doorway, only a few meters away from the Cyclops. Memories slowly flooded back into the girl's mind as she started remembering things her father had told and taught her when she was little.

One of those things was her father teaching her a way to get out of wrist chains, it was a painful way, but as he always said "You wanna keep livin', don't you sweetheart? Fight through the pain and you can do anything" She inhaled sharply and deeply as she moved her left hand to her right one, tightening her grip around her thumb.

She was just about to remove it from its socket as Jadis loudly entered the area, stomping her staff on the ice below them all. "Release her. I believe there's someone who wants to desperately see her." Jadis held her head high as she spoke to the Cyclops, who grumpily unlocked the cell door and marched in, roughly pulling Artemis up by her upper arm and her hair. "Ow, watch it, before I rip out the one eye you've got, thou lump of foul deformity" she scolded at the one eyed giant, not giving anyone inside the, so called, palace the satisfaction of hearing her in pain or agony. "I will take over from here, now. Let her go"

"Poisonous bunch-back'd toad." The young girl muttered out at the Cyclops as he let go of her arm and her long hair. "Don't worry, I've got a lot more of where that came from. Be prepared" She chuckled proudly to herself, "I do love some good old Shakespeare."

The Witch sighed deeply, as she lead Artemis into another part of her cold, icy home. "A what now?" It made Artemis laugh out, for a moment, as she followed behind. She noticed they were moving in the direction of the entrance of the castle. There was no way she was letting her go, right? Right. "Shakespeare"

"Now, what in Narnia is a Shakespeare?!"

She sighed and shook her head, whilst they were walking and even conversing, Artemis had been thinking of a way to escape. But she knew that if she did escape, all the wolves would be sent after her. If that happened, she would surely be dead before she would even reach the Pevensies. Oh, the Pevensies. How she missed them, now. She missed the bright Lucy, so cheerful, honest and yet sweet. To be completely honest, missing Edmund wasn't quite included in the feelings she felt right now. She didn't know if she missed Susan, they had only introduced themselves to each other, that was all the interaction they had. But Peter, Artemis didn't exactly know why she missed him, too. They had only talked during that extremely short dinner moment, during the first breakfast and her last night in England, in the library. She was sitting on the floor, reading the ending pages of her book, when she heard the heavy door creaking. There stood Peter, awkwardly clearing his throat as he looked at her and apologized. He apologized for him suddenly walking in on her at that moment, and he apologized for everyone being rude to her. He sat down on one of the chairs and faced her, they started talking. About everything. Peter and Artemis actually had a lot more in common than they could ever expect. And they could not seem to stop talking. They didn't end up leaving the library and heading back to their separate rooms until late in the night, late after the curfew Macready had given the children.

She definitely regretted the way she acted to them from the moment they stepped foot in professor Kirke's mansion and she was certainly hoping she would see them again, and make up for it all.

It took Artemis a while to reply to Jadis, as she was so caught up in her own mind and thoughts. "You're kidding, right?" she let out and over exaggerated sigh, before resuming her sentence. "I suppose it's an Earth thing. But hey, if it were Narnian, I doubt you would understand, anyway" She snorted and rolled her eyes, only now noticing the room they had entered.

"Maybe he will understand." The white haired woman stopped in front of a statue-like object. It took some time before she realized what it was. Her eyes widened and filled with tears as she looked at her father in stone form, stood in front of her. "You filthy bi-" Her angry shout was immediately cut off by the sound of a hard object hitting a head, and Artemis raised her hand up to her cheekbone and next to her eyebrow; both of those places were now bleeding. As was her lip, but that had already occurred earlier; in the Witch's sled. "Why would you do that to him?! He was a good man!"

The White Witch laughed sharply, before switching her sight from her prisoner's father, to the prisoner herself. "That, he was certainly not. He betrayed me, and this is exactly what happens to people who betray me. So if I were you, I would shut that little mouth of yours. You are digging your own grave, little girl"
