Chapter 8
Dilara’s POV
The week has been going slower than usual because of the two things I had planned for this weakened. Jasmine’s cousin was having a huge birthday party on Saturday which was cool and I was going to meet harry the next day. Speaking of that I didn’t even know where exactly it was he decided to meet since he wanted to keep it private, but as much as I wanted to know, I didn’t want to bother him. He’s probably going to think of me as annoying so I just wondered where we may go to myself.
Today was Wednesday and I decided to go shopping for what to wear on Saturday. I was super happy for the fact that it was an all girl party because my father would never in a million years let me go to all guy and girl party unless he was there with me. And also I could wear maybe a dress and take off my scarf. It would always feel weird when I took off my scarf in public, but since it was a female event, I was definitely looking forward to it. I didn’t know who exactly to go shopping with, because my best friend was always busy with work and school. So I decided to ask Camille to come with me. She was honestly like a very close aunt or even a mother. She was so sweet and caring and always easy to converse with. Plus, besides being a chef, she was a creative type of person and loved to design so maybe she could help me out on what to pick. Unlike me, I never exactly had a hobby, except maybe photography, but other than that nothing.

“You wanna check for dresses here?” Camille questioned pointing towards Forever 21. That place always had cute stuff so why not check it out.
“Sure!” I answer her and we both head into the flashy store. After picking up many, many dresses and some other things, I decide to go try them on. Camille takes a seat on one of the chairs in the fitting room to wait for me as I changed into my first dress and got out.
“It’s alright, try the other one.” Camille yawns and I give her a pout because I actually liked the light pink dress I was wearing, but she didn’t seem to approve of it. After trying on a good 4 dresses including one skirt, I take the last one. I saved the best one for last hoping it would be formal enough for the party. Its black and the straps were thick, touching the very tip of my shoulder. It was sorta short, lengthened to where it would touch my knees, and I wished for it to be longer. But this was the last dress and I wasn’t going to complain with a tiny problem. The dress was all black with that would sparkle when the lighting hit it. It wasn’t exactly tight, but wasn’t hanging outward either. I finally went out to make sure Camille was still there and she was; sitting right next to the color outfit that hung next to her. Once she saw me light blue eyes lit up.
“Is this okay? It’s the last one, but we could look through another sto-“
It’s perfect! I love it!” She exclaims and cuts off my sentence.
“Do you really think so, I mean it’s a bit short?” I question trying to confirm if this was appropriate for the party.
No! Don’t be silly; if it’s a girl’s party you don’t need to cover up that much. And its simple but looks stunning on you.” She assures and I agree with her, it was simple and didn’t have much work, but that’s what made it elegant. I went back into the dressing room and quickly put my clothes back on so we could head out to pay for the dress.
When we left from the mall, Camille had to leave to run some errands and so I drove home to start cooking dinner. I was so content that I found my dress for the party and sighed in relief.
I set up what was needed to start the late dinner and my parents had come around 9 pm. I was starving and as soon as I plated each of the vegetable spaghetti that I had prepared, I dug in without hesitation. After some small talk here in there on what was needed for the café my father brought something up that literally drained down my mood.
