Chapter 19!! Enjoy and thanks for over 1.3K reads! :) -zahra
Turns out that wasn’t the least of my problems.
When I get to the café I start working and not even a few minutes pass, I hear our “ding” implying someone’s here. It’s so early though and we don’t open the café till about thirty minutes later. I go out of the restaurant kitchen to apologize and that we would be opening soon, but it wasn’t a customer, but the douchebag that’s an employee here.
“Justin? Why the hell are doing you here?” He casually passes me and goes behind the counter to retrieve his apron. He’s wearing his regular uniform and his face is expressionless. Brown eyes extremely calm comparing to the other night where he was incredible drunk.
“Um, excuse me, but if you didn’t already take note, you’ve been fired.” He finally looks up and raises his eyebrows, pretending to not even remember about the incident a few days ago.
“What are you talking about?” he finally replies.
“Oh I don’t know? Maybe because the fact that you’re a complete jerk that doesn’t know how to control himself!” My parents just left for the errands of our café and Camille is in the back bringing vegetables from the car.
“Justin, admit it and leave, my father was going to fire you today, but is letting me do the job myself.” Actually he told me that he would fire Justin, but he wasn’t here right now. Justin starts to walk close to me and honestly it brings back those disgusting memories of last weekend.
“You’re not the owner now, are you?” He’s so close that his eyes pierce straight through my scared self. No I can’t be scared, I am the owner.
“Justin I’m fricken’ serious, listen to me and leave.” My blood pressure rises as I speak to this ignorant boy. He’s like in his early twenties and he’s being a total asshole.
“Sorry, sweetheart, but until your dad doesn’t say so, I wont. And even if I did it wouldn’t be the last you would see me. He brings his hand close to my face and I’m insanely confused to what he’s doing. The palm of his hand touches my cheek and I slap it away.
“What the hell! Stop it, what is wrong with you?!” What a creeper!
“I like you, that’s all, and when your feisty side comes up, I find it extremely attractive.” What the heck. My mind is jumbled up and I’m all sweaty, it’s so gross, I move passed this maniac and head to the kitchen to get away from him. I see Camille coming in the back door with a carton and I race to her. Our café wasn’t big, so I don’t see why Camille can’t hear me yelling at Justin. She’s probably outside.
“Hey! What’s wrong?” She stares down at my face and notices my frightened expression. “Dilara, what’s going on?” I’m breathing heavily and I don’t know whether I should tell her what’s going on, I could just wait until my parents got here, besides she already has issues of her own. Plus, if Justin wanted to play it that way, fine then, until my parents got back I would just act natural, like any other day and serve the orders.
“It’s nothing, I uh- I’m going to start the oven and get the bread.” I do what I had said, we open the small eatery and stay in the kitchen while Justin kept coming in and taking orders. I tried to ignore him as much as I could, but somehow his stare was incredible strong each time I looked at him. He’d give me a cocky smirk and would walk away, leaving me confused at what he was trying to convey.
