Chapter 46:
- Louis’ POV –
Friday, Lunch:
Here’s the thing about me.
Whenever something has to do with Liam I go into bloody overdrive. No matter what it is I’ll always exaggerate it or make it into the biggest deal in the universe. So it’s only logical that when someone’s trying to screw us up, intentional or not, I’m going to fly off the fucking handle.
And kiss Liam in the middle of the fucking cafeteria.
Yeah, I’m broken, remember?
And now currently sitting on Liam’s lap with his face in my hands and very quickly realising that this doesn’t actually solve anything.
It was already obvious I was going to fight one way or another, so at least this way doesn’t involve punching or hair grabbing.
Liam would be grateful for that, at least.
Not that he knows.
Right, back to my still impending doom.
I pulled back from a stunned Liam’s lips and glanced over his shoulder to watch my probably best ever relationship come to an end. Thing is though the end wasn’t coming. She wasn’t coming. She was standing still in the middle of the cafeteria; eyes wide, mouth slowly falling open.
Suddenly Liam’s hands grabbed my waist and he’s yanking my attention back to him by trying to kiss my lips apart. It’s kind of hard to analyse the reaction of a skank and resist kissing Liam at the same time. And evidently I lack the ability to prioritise. I closed my eyes and redirected my focus to tonguing Liam and had to fight back my smirk when I heard Harry and Niall stammering in the background.
But we’ll come back to that.
The next time I peeked my eyes back open to get a look at her she was still standing there in I’m guessing shock. Liam started kissing down my neck as I stared and because I’m now glaring, I must look really, really possessive and slightly mad at the moment.
Like the Queen of Liam or something.
She looked me right in the eye back for about three seconds.
Then went bright red with I’m guessing extreme anger or offense or embarrassment or something and started slowly staggering away like she wasn’t on her way over here to begin with.
Within a few moments she was out the doors and gone completely.
Liam pulled me closer and was trying to kiss my mouth again but now I was too stunned to kiss back.
Like-
??
Was that it???
…she gave up pretty easily..?
…did I just manage to do something useful?
“…Lou?” Liam mumbled. His voice is all quiet and low and god damn. “You alright?”
…I protected Liam..?
“Huh? What?” I mumbled. Liam chuckled and tightened his hands which I’ve only just realised are lower than they were before and now way too close to my ass considering we’re in the public eye.
