Chapter 24:
- Liam’s POV –
Wednesday Night:
Exams suck.
Well, not the exams themselves, they only last for 2-3 hours. What sucks is all of the goddamn studying that you have to do before hand.
I frowned at my biology textbook. I’d had my chemistry exam yesterday and my maths exam this morning, so now it was time for me to buckle down for my biology exam on Friday.
Ugh, stupid terminology.
I frowned harder at my textbook.
Seriously, why the hell did I choose biology for senior year anyway? “Oh, it’ll be impressive on your uni applications? I might as well pick it then.” Stupid, stupid, stupid Liam.
I groaned and grabbed at my hair in frustration; burying my face further into my textbook.
“--I wouldn’t frown so hard if I were you, a face like yours shouldn’t ever get wrinkles.” A static-y voice said. I shot my head up from out of the book and glanced around my room; searching for the source of the voice. I found nothing. “Liaaaaaaam” The voice sang. I frowned and got up from my chair to search my room. The voice kept talking:
“Seriously, you should smile more.” The voice teased. I realised that the sound was coming from the direction of my bed. I made my way over and waited for it to speak again:
“Are you gonna answer me or not?” The voice pouted. I dropped to my knees and searched under my bed. I started scanning the dusty darkness and my eyes stopped when they landed on the Walkie Talkie that Harry and Louis had left on my doorstep a few weeks back. Its light was flashing. I smirked and reached under my bed to grab it and pull it out. I got up and dusted myself off before making my way over to stand in front of my window. Sure enough, Louis was standing in his room with the other Walkie Talkie held to his lips; smirking playfully back at me. I chuckled.
I guess a little flirting wouldn’t be a bad thing...
“Have you been listening to me sleep every night, Lou?” I teased. Louis’ smirk grew wider.
“Among other things.” He smirked. I clenched my fist behind my back.
“Seriously though, what’s up?” I asked; raising an eyebrow at him. Louis chuckled:
“You were frowning so hard that it was giving me a headache, you alright?” Louis smirked. I felt a tug at the corners of my lips but I stopped it before it spread. He was watching me... Don’t take the bait.
“Yeah, biology’s doing my head in. Every time I re-test myself my mind goes blank. It’s just frustrating.” I murmured. Louis frowned for a moment, but then his eyes suddenly lit up. I gulped. I know that look. He’s planning somethi--
“I think you just need some incentive.” Louis smirked; that all too familiar mischievous grin of his now playing at his lips. I could feel myself breaking. My self-control was starting to waver already. I couldn’t resist that smile.
“What did you have in mind?” I mused. Louis’ smirk grew darker:
“Strip.” He said. My eyes widened. “I’ll help you.”
...huh?
“What?” I choked. Louis chuckled and stepped forward. He slid his window open and gestured to me with his hand; telling me to slide mine open as well. Hesitantly, I stepped forward and slid my window open and I poked my head out into the alleyway. “What?” I repeated. Louis’ smirk grew wider:
