Paying the Price Part 1

Nobody's POV

Jellal walked through the portal holding Lucy, she was unconscious. Lucy was muttering in her sleep. "Grandeeney! Can you help me?" Jellal shouted. "Of Course. Wha- Oh my. What happened to Hime-Sama?" Grandeeney asked, appearing next to Jellal. "She let out her Mistress of Hell form, Lisanna kind of pissed her off." Jellal explained. "Okay. Just set her on the bed and walk outside." Grandeeney asked politely. "Wait, can I please stay? She's my only family." (A/N Zeref will be brought in later. But until then... >:) ) Jellal pleaded. "Okay put sit over there." Grandeeney said, pointing to a comfortable looking chair. Jellal sat down and crossed his legs as he read a lacrima powered book. (A/N XD) Grandeeney began her spell as Lucy remained unconscious.

"Jellal-San." Grandeeney said, quietly. "Yes?! How's Lucy-San?" he said. Grandeeney let out a sigh as she took a seat next to Jellal. "There's good news and bad news." Grandeeney explained. "What's the good news?" Jellal said, mentally preparing himself for the bad news. "Lucy-San is okay, she's stable and breathing." Grandeeney said, wringing her hands for the bad news. "And... the bad news?" Jellal said, bracing himself. "She's stuck in that form. Lucy had never used a full demon takeover form. This means Lucy wasn't ready for the effects of that takeover on her body.  I am required to restrain her to keep her from attacking everyone. I occasionally have to knock her due to her blood-lust." Grandeeney said, shadows covering her eyes, a stray tear found its way down her cheek. "Can... I see her?" Jellal whispered trying to hold back his tears. "yes. this way." Grandeeney said softly. Jellal followed Grandeeney, trying to process the news Grandeeney had given him. Grandeeney unlocked a door, a opened it for Jellal who trailed in silently. "I'll leave you alone, Just press this if she gets out of control." Grandeeney said handing Jellal a crystal button. Grandeeney left and Jellal finally broke.  "Why?! Nee-San!" Jellal sobbed. "You're my *hic* only *hic* family." Jellal choked out. Lucy's eyes darted opened as she struggled against the restraints. (BOLD will be Lucy's demon talking!) "Let me out Nee-San! These restraints hurt. You don't want to see me hurt, do you?" Lucy said, staring at Jellal with pleading eyes. Jellal looked at Lucy and teared up. "I'm sorry Lucy. But this is not the Nee-San I know." Jellal said pressing the button Grandeeney gave him. Grandeeney appeared with Acnologia who held Lucy down while Grandeeney administered a knockout drug. "Jellal.. Are you okay?" Celestia said softly, hugging him. "No. It's not fair! Lucy is kind to all and this world just hurts her. First she dies, then she temporarily forgets everyone, Then this! What did she do to deserve this?!" Jellal sobbed into Celestia who just hugged him, comforting her. "I know Lucy. She'll fight this with all her strength. She won't give in to the Demon." Celestia said. Jellal pulled away and collapsed on his knees. "How am I going to tell Cobra? I can't bear to see Cobra devastated." Jellal wailed, punching the ground. "You have to tell him, avoiding the truth will just hurt your friendship." Aqua said. "You're right. I have to pull it together for Lucy's sake." Jellal said, wiping his tears as he stood. Jellal opened a portal to the guild and stepped through.

*At FairyTail's Guild*

"Will Lis-San be okay?" Natsu asked for the millionth time. "Porlyuscia-San said that Lucy held back and that Lisanna will make a full recovery within the hour." Wendy said. "Lucy is a jealous lover. She can never appreciate that I loved Lisanna and not her." Natsu said punching a column. "DON"T YOU DARE SPEAK ABOUT LUCY LIKE THAT!" Cobra shouted. "What you're avoiding the truth Elf-Ears?" Natsu snarled. "ENOUGH!" Mavis shouted appearing into the guild. "First Master, what brings you here?" Master Makarov asked. "I have evidence that Lucy had reason to harm Lisanna!" Mavis said holding a video-lacrima up. Makarov played the video and everyone gasped. At that exact time Lisanna walked out of the guild and said, "I'm okay!" Natsu was the first to react. "Lis-San, is this true?" Natsu said, holding up the lacrima that held all the evidence. "N-N-No... I mean someone could've faked being me. There's no evidence pointing this on me." Lisanna said, faking innocence. "You're entire statement just proved that you did do that to Lu-Chan!" Levy shouted. Just then Jellal walked into the guild with his hair covering his eyes. "JELLAL! Is Lucy-Sama okay?" Juvia asked. "No." was Jellal's reply. "What do you mean?" Cobra said walking up to Jellal. "I'll tell you via telepathy." Jellal said. After Jellal told Cobra the news, Cobra collapsed into anger and pointed to Lisanna. "YOU! YOU JEALOUS LITTLE SLUT! YOU COULDN'T HANDLE HOW LUCY WAS THE LIGHT OF THE GUILD! I WAS GOING TO LET THIS SLIDE SINCE I COULDN'T BEAR TO TELL THE GUILD BUT I AM GOING TO NOW. LISANNA ISN'T ACTUALLY OUR LISANNA. THIS IS THE EDOLAS VERSION OF LISANNA. THE REAL LISANNA IS DEAD." Cobra shouted. Everyone looked shocked as Jellal worsened the mood. He told everyone about Lucy's condition and how she's stuck as a demon. Everyone collapsed into darkness as the light of the guild was gone. "Lisanna. I reject you. You're not my mate." Natsu said curtly. Master cast a spell that returned Lisanna to Edolas and left her there permanently. The guild now mourned the loss of Lucy. She was a demon because they followed Lisanna blindly. "If Lushee ever comes back it's a miracle if she forgives us." Happy murmurered.
