Chapter 31 | Project A Fart That Could Kill
"So, I have heard some rumors circulating around you and Brandon."
"And where might you have heard that from?" I took a look around my room as I mentally ticked off everything that I needed.
"Everyone at school has been talking about seeing you two together."
"Oh, really?" I really was not paying attention to her.
She nodded her head as she stared at me weirdly. "Yes, so what's going on?"
"There is and never will be anything going on between Brandon and I. All we do is argue. So there is nothing to worry about." I stuffed my earphones in my back pocket.
"Okay if you say so." she rubbed her hands against one another with a smirk plastered on her face. "So are you excited for the trip?!"
"Of course, I am!" I yelled energetically. "I can't wait!"
We jumped up and down in excitement. Our girly screams surrounding my room.
"So when is Mackenzie coming over?"
"In about," I checked my wristwatch. "She actually should be here already,"
"I am still in shock that you invited her along, not that I am complaining but why did you?"
I prevented a smirk from stretching across my lips. "Oh, no reason at all. I just thought it would be a thousand times better with Mackenzie there."
She nodded along with the bullshit I was feeding her. "That is true. She does seem like a pretty cool chick."
"When she isn't trying to push you off a building," I muttered lowly. I was over it but I would make sure to remind her every day or maybe try pushing her off a building as a game and we will see how much she liked it.
Sophia cocked her head to the side, her mouth opened wide. "Um did I hear correctly?"
"Depends on what you heard." I grinned as I skipped my way out of my room. Our bags were already downstairs as we waited for Mackenzie and the rest of the guys who were our ticket away from school and fucking drama for a full three days.
It was Saturday morning and when I meant morning, I meant we woke up at three am and it was now currently five minutes past four.
"Alex?" My mom poked her head out of her bedroom.
Sophia and I simultaneously turned around and said, "What's up mom?"
Yes, Sophia called my mom her mom...well my mom was a second mom to her since her birth mom as she called her was busy earning money to care for her child.
Sophia was a pure example that money couldn't buy happiness, however, I still strongly believed money could buy happiness.
If I had millions of bucks I would be contented with my life and when I felt blue I could cry in my BMW rather than a bicycle I stole from a small kid.
"Are you two leaving now?"
"No, they said half-past-four, so we still have twenty minutes," I replied as I slowly made my way towards my mom who resembled death at that moment.
"Are you okay, mom?"
She quickly nodded her head, hair strands escaping her messy ponytail. "Of course, honey, have fun you two."
Before I could question her behavior she softly shut the door behind her and I heard the lock - shutting her inside and there was no way for me coming in.
