It's the Friday of the big game and the eclipse, as I'm at school, as I bump into Mr. Moore without paying attention, and hear his books fall. "Oh!" I exclaim, looking at him. "Woah." He says. "Sorry. Sorry, Mr. Moore." I say, bending down, and gather up his books with both hands. "My mind is totally somewhere else." I say, giving a small laugh. "Will Wagner has that effect on people." He says, offering his left hand. "How did you know I was talking about Will? Not that I was. I wasn't." I say, placing his books in his left hand, and he tucks them under his arm. "All right. I was." I say. "I understand. He's a special young man." He says, limping off. "You have no idea." I say, and turn around, following him, and walk right next to him. "I wish.." I say, sighing. "Yes?" He asks, and I look at him. "Mr. Moore, if I tell you something, you can't tell anyone. Ok?" I ask. "Whatever it is, you have my word it'll be between us." He says, and I look around, sighing. "Arthur." He says, and I look at him, as we've stopped walking. "What's on your mind?" He asks. "It's about the book, The Order of the Bear?" I ask. "Oh, no, I didn't leave a coffee stain on it, did I?" He asks, and I mentally roll my eyes. "No, no. It's fine." I say, and he sighs. "The thing is." I say, and look around, and back to him. "We found a secret page. And it said.." I say, and stop, and lower my voice some. "You're probably not gonna believe this, trust me, I know it's crazy, but it said the return of King Arthur is happening now. And I think that.." I say, and he interrupts me. "You think it's Will." He says, and walks past me, and I roll my eyes, and turn around, following him down the stairs. "How did you know?" I ask. "I've had my suspicions. If anyone at this school is the reincarnation of King Arthur, it's Will Wagner." He says, and chuckles. "Amazing, isn't it? King Arthur walking the halls of Avalon High?" He asks, and continues walking to another hall, and I follow him. "Then that means you'll help me protect Will from Mordred?" I ask. "Of course. And I assume you have a guess as to who that is as well?" He asks. You. "I don't think it's too hard to figure out." I say. "I suppose not. Don't worry, Arthur. When the day comes for Arthur, ironic, I know, to rise again, Marco won't stand in anyone's way." He says, walking off, and I smile at him. I'm in Chemistry class, sitting next to Miles, wearing safety goggles over my contacts, looking at Marco from behind me. "Today, we're going to see if we can create a small but safe chemical reaction." Mr. Luddy says, as I see Marco put his safety goggles on. "Now follow the instructions on the board. Fire up those burners." Luddy says, as I see Mario's partner sit down next to him. "Stop staring." Miles whispers, as I look at him. "You were right about Marco. I'm sorry." I whisper, as he's preparing the chemical. "All right, everyone, add the sodium hydroxide." Luddy says, and Miles has another vision, as I'm about to pour the sodium hydroxide that's in my right hand, as I look at him. "Wait!" He exclaims, standing up, running over to Will's table, grabbing the goal with his left hand. "This beakers been tampered with." He says
"Miles, I prepared all the solutions myself. They're fine. See?" Luddy asks, as we see him pour the sodium hydroxide that's in his right hand, as smoke comes out, and people laugh, and I see Miles hand it back, as Will takes it with his right hand, and walks over to sit back down next to me, as I look at him. "So much for Merlin." He whispers, and I pour in the sodium hydroxide, and it starts to smoke more than the others and turn a darker blue. "Arthur?" He asks. "Everybody duck!" I yell, as we all get under the table, and hear the breaker explode, and we all stand up. "Is anyone hurt? Arthur! Miles! Are you ok?" Luddy asks, running over to us. "Stop everyone, what you're doing. I want you both to go and see the Nurse. I don't know what happened here. But something is very, very wrong." Luddy says, turning all of the valves on our sinks, and Marco walks over to us. "Are you ok? You really should be more careful. Sometimes when you get to close to something you shouldn't, you get burned. Bad." He says, and walks off, and I walk past Miles down the hallway. "Ok, this is starting to get really scary." He says. "I'm not scared anymore, Miles. I'm pissed. I'm gonna find Will after school and tell him everything." I say. "He's gonna think you're out of your mind." He says. "It doesn't matter. He deserves to know before the eclipse tonight." I say, and we stop walking. "Any chance you're getting a vision on how it goes?" I ask. "Am I doubled over, clutching my head in excruciating pain?" He asks. "No." I say. "Well, there you go, then." He says, and I turn around, and walk off. It's nighttime, as I'm in my leather jacket and gray V-neck with black jeans and black boots and my Hunter Green beanie, sitting on the steps of the school, sighing, as I hear cheering and see kids from Avalon High running with a huge banner to the game, and I see Will pull up in his red jeep, and stand up, crossing my arms, and walk towards him, and I see Jen and Lance making out in Lance's truck, and stop, as he sees it, too, and I see Will run off to his jeep, and he gets in, driving off, and I chase after him. "Will! Will!" I yell, and chase after his jeep, past the fans from Avalon High. "Will! Will!" I yell, louder, and I see him drive into the forest, as I pick up the pace, running past the apple tree and run past a bunch more trees, and look around, and turn left, seeing he's at the bottom of the hill, with his left hand on the tree. "Will!" I exclaim, and he looks up at me, and someone shoves me, hard, as I scream, and roll down the hill, landing on my back. "No! Arthur!" He exclaims, running over to me, and I sit up. "Arthur! Are you ok? Please, you have to be ok!" He exclaims, as I smile at him. "Hey!" I exclaim, and wrap my arms around his neck, as he puts his around my waist. "Are you hurt? Can you move anything? What about your hand?" He asks, as we release. "I'm fine." I say, smiling. "What happened? How did you fall?" He asks, as I look behind me. "I was pushed." I say, standing up next to him. "What? Who would push you?" He asks. "Mordred." I say, and look at him. "Well, fake one, maybe." I say. "From the King Arthur story?" He asks. "Yes!" I exclaim. "Ok, lie down. I think you hit your head." He says, holding my shoulders, and I hold his wrists. "No, Will. I have to tell you something." I say, and we put our hands down. "And you might not believe me, but it's true." I say. "I know already." He says. "You do?" I ask. "Yeah. About Lance and Jen, I saw them. Sorry you had to keep it a secret." He says. "No, I know. And that's part of the story, but there's so much more to it." I say. "I don't need to hear the details. Really, I'm ok. Come on." He says, grabbing my right hand, and we start walking. "No, Will, listen to me. This isn't just about Lance and Jen. This is about fate. This is about your destiny." I say, and we stop walking, and he lets my hand go. "You aren't just Will Wagner. You're King Arthur. And today is the day that you rise above all the lies and the backstabbing and the self doubt and start back on the path to changing the world. You're the one everyone's been waiting for." I say, and we see headlights and a car honk, as we look at it, and see a silver car pulling up. "Arthur!" Miles exclaims. "You're right. Today I am like King Arthur. I have to be a leader. I have to face adversity and overcome it." He says, as I'm looking at him. "What?" I ask. "Yeah, it's a metaphor. I get it. I'm the team captain. I can't leave my teammates behind." He says, and we look at Miles. "Hey, Miles. Can you give Arthur a ride?" Will asks, as Miles is running to us. "Yeah, sure." Miles says, and Will puts his hands on my cheeks, and kisses my right cheek, and then my lips, and puts his hands down. "You're the reason the Knights are going to be united again. See you after the game. I've gotta go! Thanks for the good luck kiss!" He exclaims, and runs past me, and I step forward. "Will! No! I didn't say you were like King Arthur, I said you are King Arthur! And I still have to warn you about Marco! Marco is Mordred!" I shout at him, as he gets in his jeep, and starts driving off. "Now what?" Miles says, as he's next to me. "We have to go to the game and not let Will out of our sight. If we get in a car crash, I'll take the blame." I say, grabbing his right wrist, dragging him to the car. "A crash? Why?" He asks. "Just buckle your seatbelt and hold onto something." I say.
