I'm jogging over a bridge in a park, as I have my gray hoodie, black jogging pants, and a Hunter Green beanie on, since it's Autumn outside and it's a little chilly, and I run down the street and past the windmills, seeing a man and a woman. "Morning." He says, smiling. "Good morning." I say, smiling back, as I'm picking up speed, and run past a bunch of trees, running faster into the park, and see a water fountain in the distance, as me and this attractive, brown haired guy make it at the same fine, as he's wearing a maroon hoodie, and I start breathing heavily from all the running I did, and he smiles at me, and he takes a step back. "After you." He says. "Thanks." I say, putting my hands on the side of the fountain, pressing the button with my right index finger, and lower my head down, drinking some water, and straighten back up, and put my hands down. "All done?" He asks, and I nod, smiling, and wipe my mouth with the back of my left hand, giving a light chuckle, and he steps forward, as I put my hand down, and he drinks some water, and I look at him, and have a flashback or some kind of vision of me in armor, holding a chalice in my right hand in front of a water fall, over filling the cup, as he's behind me, but the water is clearing my vision, and I pull it out of the fountain, and turn to him, as he turns around, facing me, smiling, as he's in silver armor, and takes the chalice with his right hand, as the sun is reflecting on his face, and he bends his head down, sipping the water, and I snap back into reality, blinking and gasp. "I'll just.. um. Bye." I say, and run off the opposite way I came from, towards a fountain, and stop and turn around, looking back at the guy, except he's already gone, as I look around, and see a guy riding his bike along the road, but that's it. "Weird." I say, and turn back around, and continue running. I soon arrive to Avalon High, as it's so huge it could be a castle, as I'm in my Mom's car in a V-neck and jeans with my red and black flannel, with my window rolled down. "Are you nervous?" Mom asks, and I hesitate for a moment, and turn to her, as she's smiling. "Mom, it's like my millionth first day of school." I say, and she nods. "I know. So, you're nervous." She says. "Of course I'm nervous." I say, taking my seatbelt off with my right hand after unclicking it with my right index finger. "You'll be fine. You always are. King Arthur was brave and he didn't have a high school." She says. "Exactly my point. He doesn't have to suffer the agony." I say, sarcastically, smiling, and sigh, turning to my door and open it with my right hand, and get out, grabbing my gray backpack with my right left hand, slinging it over my shoulders. "I'll pick you up at three." She says, and I shut the door with my left hand. "Actually, make it five. I'm going out for Track, remember?" I ask, and she waves at me with her right hand fingers. "Bye, Mom." I say, and turn around. "Bye, dear." She says, as I walk off into the school and to the main hall way, as I take my schedule out of my right pocket, looking at it, and look up, seeing a guy throw a kid's bag onto the ground. "Marco, why can't you just steal my lunch money like every other bully? I need my locker. What's wrong with yours?" The kid asks. "Well, Miles. Since you asked, mine's too far from class." Marco says, and Miles chuckles. "You don't even go to class." Miles says. "Give me the combination." Marco says. "One, two, three, four, five." Miles says, and pins him to the locker, holding the hem of his shirt. "Give it to me, Preschool, or I'll put you in the locker." Marco says, and I sigh, and walk over to them, and shove Marco back. "Hey, knock it the hell off." I say, and he grabs me by the hem of my shirt, pinning me to the locker, as I glare at him, somehow, I'm not afraid. "That's enough, Marco." The guy from the water fountain says, and Marco lets my shirt go, and turns to the guy. "Hooray! If it isn't Will Wagner here to save the day! My hero. What are you gonna do, Will, hit me?" Marco asks, as Miles and I glance at each other, and back to Will and Marco. "You're not worth the detention. Just get the hell out of here before I change my mind." Will says, and Marco scoffs, launching towards me like he's about to hit me, and Will shoves him back, and Marco steps forward, glaring at him. "Whatever." Marco says, smirking, and he turns to Miles. "He can't protect you twenty four hours in a day." Marco says, and begins to walk off. "Oh, wow, you know that there ar-." Miles says, and I cover his mouth with my right hand, so that Marco doesn't get more pissed off. "Welcome to hell, new kid." Marco says, and I see him walk off, and I put my hand down, as Will and I help Miles pick his stuff up, handing it to him. "Thanks, Will and new kid. I was about to what they say 'throw down' with him, but I thought you might want to deal with him yourself, since he's your brother." Miles says. "Step brother." Will says, and looks at me, and I give a small smile, and walk off. "Hey!" He exclaims, and I manage to find my locker. "Hey. Water Fountain Guy!" Will exclaims, smiling. "I guess that's me. Uh, hey." I say. "Hey! I didn't know you went to Avalon High, and sorry about Marco, he can be a real ass." He says. "I noticed." I say, and he laughs. "Yeah, I didn't know you went here, either. Although, technically, I don't know anyone who goes here. I'm new. I mean, my name's not 'New', it's Arthur, you know, like King Arthur?" I ask, and we both smile at each other, and he offers his right hand. "I'm Will." He says, and I shake it with my right, and we release. "There. Now you officially know one person. Unless you count being pinned to the locker by Marco." He says. "He was harassing Miles and it got bad when he pinned him against the locker, so I intervened." I say, nodding. "So, are you on the Track team? Because of the running in the park. Or maybe you just like running
I love running. Wow. Did I just say 'running' like three times? Well, now four." I say. "Football, actually. I'm kind of the Quarterback." He says. "Of course you are. That might explain the letterman jacket. I mean, you seem so Quarterback-esque." I say, and see a red haired girl walking over to us, and kiss his left cheek. "Hi, sweetie. Come on, I want to make sure we sit together in History." She says, and they both look at me. "Hi." She says, and looks at Will. "Jen, this is Arthur. He's new. Arthur, this is my girlfriend Jen." He says. "Hi! Nice to meet you." She says, offering her right hand, and I shake it with my right, giving a small smile, and we release. "Yeah, you, too." I say. "There you go. Your friends have already doubled." Will says, and I nod, and she wipes her right thumb across his cheek. "Wait, lipstick." She says. "Will, Jen. Where were you guys this morning?" A light skinned guy in a letterman jacket asks, holding up a burger in his right hand, and a brown paper bag in his left. "Didn't you get my text? Five burgers for five bucks." He says, and Will laughs. "Arthur, this human garbage disposal is my best friend Lance. Lance, Arthur." Will says, and I give a small wave with my right hand, and put it down. "Hey." I say. "Hey." Lance says, and Jen and Lance smile at each other. "Did you meet Jen? Jen's the coolest chick in school." Lance says, and Jen laughs. "Yeah, that she is." Will says. "Aw, thanks, guys." She says, and the bell rings. "So, what's your first class?" Will asks, and I look down at my schedule. "Um.. European Histroy with Mr. Moore." I say, and look back to them. "Oh, we've got that, too! Come with us!" She says, and they walk off. "One.. second." I say, and turn to my locker, opening it with my right hand, and grab my stuff.
