It's Time To Work

Following the other chapters, we have learnt; only God can bring us out of sin, we have to desire change in our hearts, guard our hearts from evil thoughts, identity what theses sins are and what is stopping us from moving to perfection in Christ. Now we need to work it! We work it keeping in mind that Jesus is really the one that has the steering wheel but we must make that effort. Now we have reached this point, we need two things. PRAYER AND THE WORD!! Get your bibles out people. There is alot of deep secrets to meditate upon. And then we need to pray all day everyday. Prayer is an important part of our lives as Christians and how do we pray when we don't even know who this God we are praying to is and what he is all about. That's why we have scripture. To tell us about who this God is. Why did he create me? What's all this about. The Bible says Everthing got started in him and finds its purpose in him. And to know him, you need to read about him in the Bible and when you know him, you get to know about yourself and who you are meant to be. This might not make much sense at the moment but just try it. This didn't make much sense to me as well but with time I started to understand. Always remember that this journey is a lifetime journey not for a few days or months. You keep learning everyday, unveiling truth after truth. Dont be confused. There is a big matter on "how do I even begin!" brace up champ! It's not difficult at all. There are so many methods. I will suggest a few to you. Some people prefer the use of devotional. Get a devotional of your choice, any one will do. Some people just have all these apps that give bible verses daily then they reflect on it. While some pick out a particular issue in their life and browse about verses relating to that. I personally have tried this before. It's good when you want to remind yourself of what God has said concerning an issue or used for prayer. Another one which is my favourite is reading book after book. You can start anywhere really. But reading a book from chapter one to the end you will know where the writer of the book was coming from and why he was saying all of those things. It just gives me more understanding. You might be thinking which book to start with. Some bible scholars say mark, then John before you move to Romans. But it really depends on you and where the spirit leads you. I personally started from Genesis. I just want to emphasise again that this is a process. Life time process. You don't read the Bible like a novel. A preacher said before you start reading the Bible, you must forgive everyone that has wronged you. That is how the holy spirit will teach you. Remember to not depend on your understanding but on that of the holy spirit because he is the teacher. I have gone on and on concerning bible reading. In the next chapter, I will talk about prayer.
Points to note:
To get to work, prayer and Bible reading are the most important.
The journey takes time.
You must allow God lead you.
Remember Jesus loves you. You are God's precious child. He delights in you.
