Vision wasn't one to be stunned. He wasn't one to really feel surprise, but there wasn't an emotion that he could identify as any better than that for the sensations that were ravaging his inner self. He was shocked to his core, and his next words had to be measured very, meticulously and cautiously. The words that he was about to choose could either maintain calm in this situation, or they could create an explosive reaction, but one thing was certain; his words were the only thing that would carry him into the next moment.
"Wanda," he began slowly, holding her gaze, "I don't know what to say."
"I know that this is something of a shock-"
"I am at an utter loss for words."
"I'm sorry," she tried again, "I should have given better warning-"
"My thoughts are quite uncertain."
"Viz, it was just a question."
"But the question that you asked was not a small one," he continued almost sternly, "and my answer cannot be spoken without a clear and concise thought process to bring me to the most logical decision."
"I said that you can take as much time as you wanted," she reminded him. Wanda had already regretted this discussion, now that she had stunned him into a stupor, which was a major feat where an android was concerned. She didn't think it was even possible to do so, but she took no pleasure in her accomplishment. "We can discuss this at another time."
"No, we will discuss this now, as I will be unable to function properly with this altered mental state that I find myself in."
"If it helps, I make really cute kids," Scott interjected with a sloppy grin, feeling very proud of his point.
"Scott! Not now," Wanda groaned. She dropped her head into her hands heavily, wishing that she was anywhere but here. "Viz, just forget that I ever said anything. I can see now that this was just an idea that I took too far. I do that sometimes. Please, let's forget that it was ever discussed." She stood to leave the room, with Scott standing to join her, but Vision stood as well, unexpectedly taking her arm and turning her to face him.
"Is this what you want?"
"Viz, it's okay."
"Is this what you want with me? Wanda, you know that the life you ask of me is one that I cannot provide."
"Dude, you can provide all of it but this," Scott joined in again, "don't sell yourself short. I've seen you with the kids that have been through here, and you've picked up a lot. You guys could totally do this."
Vision paused and considered what Scott was saying, looking to Wanda, who was now wearing a very hopeful expression and a smile that Vision had a hard time turning down for anything. What she was asking him to do was a question that he never would have expected from her. It was true, what Scott said; he had picked up quite a bit about raising children from those who had been born there, and he would never dream to lie and say that he hadn't enjoyed them. But to have one that would be called his own was a concept that he never considered as a possibility. "Scott...you would be amenable to providing us with your-"
"Yes. I'll provide," Scott answered quickly, "but after that, it's all you, my friend."
"The insemination of a human female is a very intimate experience-"
"Vision!" both Wanda and Scott gasped, stopping him before he could say any more. Scott slapped the android on his arm, feeling a painful sting in his hand from the connection but not balking at it because he was far too shocked to react. "How many times do I have to tell you to stop using that word?! Seriously, I shouldn't have to tell you at all! No one should ever use it as much as you do!"
