Harukawa and Korekiyo have spent the whole day together. Not willingly, obviously. Ouma made a pie with a bomb in it, and Korekiyo ate it. He had a whole list for the day, and they were on the last thing.
"The last thing on the list is," He starts.
"Does it involve physical harm?" Harukawa asks, rubbing her rope burned neck.
"Watch the sunset with Harukawa." Korekiyo finishes.
"Sunset?" Maki says.
She thinks about what Ouma said earlier. "The way I see it, he has until sunset before it digests."
"C'mon, you want a sunset, you'll have a sunset."
They walk to an open area and sit on the ground.
"Sunsets are beautiful," Korekiyo remarks. "Right, Harukawa?"
"Yeah."
"This is great, just the three of us," He says. "Just you, me, and this wall you built between us."
"Yeah," She laughs.
"Sunsets always remind me of fruits," Korekiyo explains. "What do they remind you of?"
"Explosio- I mean, erosion!" Harukawa stutters.
"You know, if I were to die right now in some sort of fiery explosion due to the carelessness of a friend, that would be okay."
She starts to tear up as she hears him burp.
"It feels like something just dropped into my lower intestine," He states. "Smells like cherry. Maybe grape. Blueberry?"
Harukawa's tears start to fall as the sun starts to go down.
"Its starting! We should count down," Korekiyo says. "Five... You can do the rest."
She shivers. "Four... Three... Two..." There was hesitation before she said the final number. "...One."
Nothing happened.
"Try again," He says.
"Five... Four... Three..." Theres an explosion from the other side. "Two..." She chokes back tears. "One... At least he had a happy few last hours." She sighs. "I've been a good person." Suddenly, there's another explosion that knocks down the wall. Korekiyo was blowing bomb bubbles.
"Why are you still here!" She angrily asks. "You were supposed to explode into a million pieces!"
"Why would I do that?"
"Because the pie you ate was a bomb!"
"What pie?"
"The one that I left on the counter this morning after taking it from Ouma!"
"Oh," He laughs. "You mean this pie!" He takes it out of his hat. "I was saving it for us to share!" As he walks over to Harukawa, he trips on the rubble of the wall, triggering the bomb and killing them both.
