hey my dudes !!
so it has been two years since i wrote this (which is crazy because it feels like two decades). texting styles was started in the beginning of 2015 when i was, essentially, an entirely different person.
it is not so much that i was a bad person, more that i was vastly uneducated on what was really happening in the world around me.
that said, i am nearly sixteen now, and while i still have quite a bit of learning and growing up to do, i am far from who i was then (that isn't to say thirteen year olds are inherently ridiculous. i just happened to be lol i was also the worst kind of attention-seeking seriously i was a mess™)
this is, frankly, an exceptionally long-winded way of stating that there were quite a few instances in this book that can be easily viewed as mildly offensive/socially unacceptable. nothing major, but quite a few tired out and stupid gender role situations played some role in the functioning of this story, as well as mental illness stereotypes and uncomfortable stereotypes in general.
i do not intend to make revisions to this fanfic.
i have chosen to keep this story published because i am currently pursuing writing and i strongly believe that my journey as a person is perfectly dictated by my writing. this story illustrates who i was at the time, and i am not proud of all the things i have incorporated in it, in the same way that, when i am twenty, i will most likely not feel pride toward what i have written at this present period of my life.
thank you for understanding and thank you to my lovely readers for making me smile with your wonderful comments. i love you.
xo,
pepper
