Lucy's P.O.V:
I woke up in an unfamiliar place.
I glanced around to see if I could find a clock or something of the sort.
Just something to tell me if I'll be late to school.
Exploring around the room with my eyes, I spot an alarm clock up top of a beige dresser.
9:15 AM.
I internally panicked as I sprung up, the pain of all of my cuts and bruises being initiated in the process.
With that, I yelp and let myself fall back down on the bed.
Memories started to pour back into my head.
Memories I can vaguely remember.
As memories continued to flow into my brain, I lose my thoughts in a blink of an eye.
"GRAY GIMME IT BACK!" Yelled a voice I had never heard.
Sounded like a young boy.
I assumed it was Gray's brother, Lyon.
"NEVER!" Now that was a familiar voice.
I smiled at their sibling fight.
I smiled at how I knew they were to make up and forget entirely in the end.
Suddenly I hear the doorknob on the other side twist as I lay there awake.
Curious to who would come in.
As the door slowly creeks open, my eyes meet with a soft, gentle, woman's.
That must be Ur.
"Oh! You're up!" She chuckled.
I see her arm reach for my head as she lightly touches it.
She keeps it there for a moment or two, I presume she is checking my temperature the old fashioned way.
The way I liked the most.
"I vaguely remember a thing." I state bluntly and she chuckles again "I'd be happy to fill you in." She smiles, plopping down on the bed.
I liked how Ur explained the night before to me. She emphasized words, and would crack jokes in every nook and cranny she possibly could.
She gave me a feeling that I hadn't felt in forever.
A feeling I desired most out of all of them.
I felt like I belonged, like I had a home.
Even though some of these things Ur told me (and believe me,) were quite horrible, a smile never failed to stay on my face the entire time.
"So here's the deal." Ur gives me a serious look, as if to signal me that she was done joking.
"We have filed a police report about you're father. Until they find enough evidence that Jude is abusive..." I nod and her serious look turns into a bright smile.
"We volunteered to let you stay with us!" She clapped her hands together and smiles even wider, this time showing her teeth.
My eyes widen in shock.
Ur gives me a worried look.
"Is everything alright?" She questions me surprised at my reaction.
