Ruined

Coffee spilled all over me. The waitress had tripped over a table leg and her tray went flying towards my face.

The coffee spilled all over my new light blue shirt, and onto my capris.

I looked up at Tanner, my whole face was completely red of embarrassment.

Coffee had to attack me the day I was on my first date. Worst. Day. Ever.

Tanner stood up and took my hand saying, "Its okay. Come on. Let's get you washed up."

While we got up the waitress was panicking and circling around saying "sorry!" and "I can pay for new pants!" "I'm so clumsy!" "I'm Sooo sorry!".

But none of that mattered. All I could see was Tanner.

I couldn't hear anyone else, see anyone else or look at anyone else.

It was all too good to be true.

He tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Here, wear my jacket. Tie it around your waist."

I smiled and said, "Thank you." as I tied it around my waist.

'He's so sweet.' I thought to myself.

I sighed and we walked out of the shop. He took me down the street a little to a shop called the "Value Hut".

We stopped in front if it and he said, " Here's 7$, their jeans are really cheap here, take as much time as you want, I'll either be in the book aisle or outside waiting for you."

He smiled as he handed me the money. I smiled back until I actually realized what he had said.

"W-wait no! Its fine, take your money, I can pay-"

"Hey, its fine." Tanner said with a a smile as he gently pushed my outstretched hand back.

"I want to treat you." He smiled again.

I wish he would stop being so charming for a minute...

"I-its fine. I can pay."

"Are you sure? Cause I don't mind spending money on you." He smiled again and this time winked at me.

I blushed and tried to hide it as I ducked my head and gave a shy smile.

"Really. Its fine. I don't want you to waste money on pants for me." I said with a little smile.

"It wouldn't be wasting money..." He said as he stepped forward a bit with a sheepish smile on his face.

This time there was no way to hide the redness in my cheeks.

I ducked my head and looked to the right of me, filling up with happiness.

How could he be so perfect?

"I-i'm s-sure..." I said with a little giggle.

"Oh. But t-thank you." I added stepping back and turning to walk into the store.

"Oh. Hey. Wait-" Tanner said after me.

"Yeah?" I asked turning around.

He turned towards me with opened arms and said, "Could I at least get a hug?"

Yet again, with that amazing smile.

In my head I was saying, Geez boy, we're only gonna be apart for like 20 minutes...

But teenage girl hormones won out and instead I smiled back and said, "'Kay..."

'Wow...real smooth Misty' I thought.

I went over to him and slowly wrapped my arms around him.

'Ooooo... he smells good...now I don't wanna let go...' My thoughts were becoming out of control.

'Stop being a creeper Misty!' I started talking to myself...

We then let go and parted ways.

I walked into the doors and when I looked back Tanner was leaning against the wall waiting for me.

He saw me looking and gave a smile. Then he waved.

I smiled and waved back.

*Sigh* So dreamy...
