The Blasted Frenchman

Arthur sighed and knocked on the door. "Come in!" A French accent said happily. Maria opened the door and held it for Arthur to enter. "Ah Arthur mon ami it's good to see you again!" The Frenchman smiled. "Who is zhis? You're new amour?" Arthur blushed and looked away. "N-No! She's my assistant you bloody frog!" Maria smiled. "What is a fleur like you called, mademoiselle?" He asked, kissing Maria's hand. A light red dusted Maria's tan cheeks. "Maria Diaz Hernandez Santos.." She said smiling as she pulled her hand back. "And your name is Francis Bonnefoy, correct?" He nodded. "Oui it's is! Parlez-vous français, mademoiselle?" Francis asked. "Oui je fais. Pensez-vous que vous pourrez répondre à quelques questions pour moi, s'il vous plaît?" Maria asked curiously. "Oui!" Francis smiled. "English or français?" Maria asked pulling out her pen. "English is fine." Francis smiled. Arthur stared at the two confused. "Alright very well. Do you remember the last time you saw Antonio de l'Espagne alive?" Maria asked opening her notepad. "Hm I think it was about 3 hours ago.. He was speaking in the den with Monsieur Yao de Chine. Monsieur Yao was holding something shiny and Antonio looked terrified. As if he was being threatened or had seen a ghost. Silly, non?" Francis said smiling a bit nervously. Maria wrote down his words. "Oui. Tell me Monsieur, do you think Yao de Chine is the murder?" She asked looking up at him with serious eyes. "No but I think he helped in the murder. The two weren't on... amicales... if you understand." Francis said leaning towards her. She nodded. "Oui... That will be all. Merci, Monsieur. We will contact you for further information." Maria said putting her things away. She elegantly walked out. Arthur followed her but was stopped by Francis. "Do you know if she is single, mon ami?" He asked watching her. Arthur scowled. "How would I know?!? She doesn't tell me her whole life story!! Now if you excuse me I have to solve a murder case. Good day to you!" Arthur huffed as he stormed out. Francis laughed. "He hasn't changed one bit!" Maria looked over at Arthur, fixing her hair a bit. "Shall we go visit Yao of China?" She smiled. Arthur nodded. "Do you know Chinese too?" He said, a hint of jealousy in his voice. She smiled softly. "As a matter of fact I do! Let's go!"
