All you could hear was the silence amongst the dim lit room. The air was cool, but felt a bit heavy, and in it were two poles attached from the floor to the ceiling. Beside each lied two body's, each with their arms tied up, and a sack covering their heads. One of them had awoken, and jerked around after realizing the situation. She grunted and attempted to scream, but had a slit of tape across her mouth, preventing her from doing so. She rolled around on the cold cement, and tried to free herself of the sack on her head, and after a bit of struggling she managed to slip it off of her, causing her to squint initially, from not seeing light in who knows how long. She tried using her tongue to loosen the tape, but this didn't help. She observed the room around her and saw that there was someone else too. She tried to make as much noise as possible and to her amazement they were awake.

The person pretty much did the exact same thing as the lady, and after finally removing the sack, she felt as if she knew him from somewhere, but wasn't sure how though. They both were trying to get the tape off, and eventually she got her hands to go under her legs from behind her, to in front of her. While Picking at the tape, she kept scratching her face simultaneously, causing irritation to the skin and eventually, slight bleeding. She finally got ahold of the tape and removed it from her face.

"Oh my God, where are we?" She looked around panicked and saw that he was still attempting to get his tape off, she approached him and picked at one of the corners, finally gripping it, and peeled it off, causing the gentleman to wince.

"I, don't know where we are" he paused "Or how it is that we got here. Can you assist me in getting my arms to the front of me?" She nodded and did as asked. "I suggest we try to look around, and see if there is any indication to who it is that put us here" the man said,

"Or how to get us out of here; or free us of our restraints" she added in.

The two proceeded in searching. She was feeling the cold, rough cement walls while many thoughts flooded her mind.

'Who would want me here? I can't even process all of this, can I even trust him?' The questions just kept coming.

She continued feeling the walls and bumped into the man, throwing off her train of thought and startling the two, causing each of them to step back. He stepped on a pressure plate, which sank into the floor causing a door to open in the wall. They both hesitantly moved towards it.

"We should look around the corner of door at the same time" she suggested.

He nodded at her and got ready to do so, "One, two, three" they both poked their heads around the corner to see if it was safe, one side was a door that wasn't able to be opened from their side, and the other was a long, close quartered hallway, with hardly any light down it. They each slowly went around the corner, and quietly made their way down the hall, hugging the wall.

"So, what's your name?" He asked her in a gentle tone, breaking the silence,

"Nissa, and you?"

"Daniel" he gave a simple response, he didn't want to give anymore information than needed. "So what is it that you do for a living?" He was trying to calm her nerves by switching up the conversation.

"I am actually a pediatrician, I help kids and make sure they have good nutrition and things like that. I've always preferred to work with kids over old people. Old people just seem to complain about everything. Enough about me, tell me a bit about you"

He briefly paused "Well, I am currently a waiter, I drive cabs on the side, but I'm currently working on a book that I have been writing for about two years now. It's still in the works but I'm hoping to be a successful author someday"

"Well, at least you're still trying, not many people really strive for their dreams, it's really nice to hear that" she politely said.

The two kept going back and forth with small talk until they finally came across a metal plated door, it was rusted and slightly cracked open, and on the left side of the hallway. The two looked at each other, and Nissa nodded and moved towards it cautiously, holding her hand out waiting to give Daniel the signal for whether to enter or not. She couldn't make up anything that was in the room, so she started to enter, and Daniel followed.

"Ugh, what is this shit on the floor?" He pulled his foot up feeling the resistance, something thick and sticky was across the floor. Shortly after the door slammed shut

"What the hell!?" She squealed, lowering herself, while Daniel slammed into the wall. Bright lights flashed on, causing each of them to close their eyes, struggling to open them. After Nissa's eyes adjusted, she opened them only to see the horror that was spread across the room, along with some contraption in the center of it. The walls were splattered with chunks of flesh, intestines hanging from the ceiling, part of them melted to it. You could see the outline of someone cowering before whatever it was ended their life. The terror creeps it's way on to each of their faces as they see a timer on the wall, reading 30:00.

"We're going to die here" with the sudden realization hitting her like a fist to her gut, she slowly backed up to the wall and slid down until she was sitting in the red gush which made most of the color in the room.

"We can't give up, the timer hasn't started, we can figure a way out. We just have to keep a cool mind." Daniel studied the room, and noticed a tape recorder.

"This might give us a hint to how we get out of here." He grabbed it and brought it over to Nissa and kneeled beside her.

"Well, here goes nothing" he pressed the play button and the timer started to tick down, reading 29:59.
