Two years ago

Devin sat up blindfolded, with a pounding in his head, like a hammer hitting his skull over and over. He attempted to reach up to rub his head, but realized he was tied up. The panic crept through his body as he was struggling. He then paused as he heard voices.

"We have to get seven others." A mans voice said.

"Well where are we going to find them?" A woman sharply replied

"Just wait. The boss said that he was goin to find a group of people who are all in one place"
He barked back.

"Well I'm getting tired of waiting" she rolled her eyes at him.

They slowly made their way over to Devin, and he remained still acting as if he was unconscious. A door creaked open from behind the two, diverting their attention from Devin,

"Sir, what are you doing here?" The woman asked.

"We have a change of plans, we must postpone capturing everyone, the time isn't right." The boss said. This voice was oddly familiar to Devin, but he wasn't quite sure how he knew his voice.

"Then what do we do with him?" The man questioned.

"Well it does propose a problem seeing how you already went through with capturing this one; Is he unconscious?" The boss asked.

The man and woman looked at each other, "We were just about to check before you came in." She exclaimed.

She grabbed a needle and approached Devin, as she grabbed his arm he resisted and attempted to scream, but it was muffled from being taped shut. The man came and helped hold Devin still, as she stuck the needle in his arm. Devin felt himself slipping unconscious, he was completely still shortly after.

"So now what sir?" The woman asked looking up at her boss.

"Take him back home, lay him in his bed, and make it seem as if this was all a bad dream. We can't have him remember any of this or it will throw off our plans in the future." He sharply said.

Her and the man nodded, they grabbed Devin and put him in the back of their van, and followed orders as instructed.

Devin sat up, rubbing his head from the pain. He was trying to connect the dots from everything that happened all those years ago.

'That wasn't a dream?' Devin thought to himself, this was too much to take in.

His gaze was fixated on the ground until he snapped out of it, seeing that Damien, Tara, and Nissa were all against the wall waiting for him to wake up

"You're up! Did you remember anything?" Tara moved towards Devin inclined.

"I... well" Devin was still trying to take everything in.

"Come on, don't leave us hanging" Nissa inquired.

Devin took a breath, "Well, what I know for sure is that I've heard the voice of the person who captured us, or the voices I mean.

Everyone was bewildered by what was just said, "Come again?" Damien said shocked by what his ears just heard.

"I'm not completely sure, but there were three people talking about capturing seven more people. I was kidnapped years ago, but I woke up in my bed the next morning thinking it was all a dream." Devin explained.

"I'm confused, so how did you just happen to hear this conversation?" Nissa questioned him

"I was kidnapped; I worked at the hospital, I helped Brenden, and saw you in the lobby, and I-"

"You attended to me" Tara cut in, suddenly remembering this as he was saying it.

Devin nodded, agreeing with her and proceeded, "So after that I went home, and when I got inside I was attacked, next thing I know is waking up and I heard a man and woman talking, then their boss entered the room. He was saying how he needed to get seven more. He said he had to wait to do this until future reference. Then I woke up in my bed the next morning, I thought it was a terrible dream I had" Devin finished

"So I'm assuming the seven others were us, and future reference is now." Damien spoke what he was piecing together.

"So does that mean we were all picked at random? Or is there something we're still not remembering?" Tara asked the group. They all looked at each other, but nothing was clicking, then the voice from the speakers came through cutting them off from their current conversation.

"Hello everyone. You guys must move into the next room, seeing how this one is currently empty. If you refuse to do so, a toxic gas will fill the room killing anyone who remains in there."

Devin gritted his teeth, it irritated him even more knowing that this person had kidnapped him before and planned this out years ago. As the group started making there way to the next room, the door opened up into a horizontal hallway that had four separate doors. They all looked at each other and knew exactly what had to be done. They all stepped in front of the different doors, and looked at one another.

"Guys, whatever happens from this point on, I wish you all luck." Devin said trying to calm everyone down.

"Well, here goes nothing." Damien sighed, he grabbed ahold of the door handle, and pulled open the steel plated door.

Everyone did the same thing, each of them staring into complete darkness. Damien slowly stepped forward into black nothingness, the door closing behind him. He shakily felt around, but was getting nothing but air. He made small steps to his left, remaining quiet to listen. His hands finally touched something, it was glass. He slowly kneeled down, feeling up and down the wall, realizing that this felt like the other rooms, with glass to see in each side. He stood up and inched his way to the other side, and got the same results. As he kneeled back up after confirming it was similar to the other rooms, the lights flickered on making him sqinch, at the same time a high pitched scream came from his left, causing him to jump  back as he still couldn't open his eyes.
