In a separate room, was another two who had been taken, and on this door, it said 'three'.

He was looking down at the sack he removed it from his head, and couldn't think of who would do this. He looked over to the girl across from him, and she seemed expressionless.

He approached her, "Hey, umm, I'm Devin" he lightly smiled. "Who are you?"

She looked up at him, her hair was in her face so he couldn't really pickup all the details of her facial expression, and she shyly replied "Tara.."

"Hi Tara, by chance, do you know where we are?" He asked in a light tone, trying to be gentle as possible towards her.

She shook her head no, he then stood up and saw that the door to their room was now open.

"Did you look around before I woke up?" He asked, and she shook her head no again,

"Well, would you like to come with me to try and get an idea of where exactly we are?" Devin reached his hand out to her.

She closed into herself more, so he proceeded out the door on his own. As he walked down the hall, he noticed there wasn't any form of natural light coming into where he was. He assumed they were probably underground in some abandoned tunnel system. He saw a door that was opened at the end of the hall. Suddenly he tripped over some wire, scraping his arms to catch himself. He pushed himself towards the wall by instinct, and a spear shot straight down at a high speed, definitely intending to gut him, but landed just inches from his torso, snagging his shirt. Fully comprehending the situation taking place here, he started to tear up and cry.

'W-who would do this to anybody? I never thought anything like this could actually happen' he thought.

He yanked his shirt, ripping it, then shakily stood up, not knowing whether to go back or move ahead. So much was happening so fast, it was too surreal to him.

"He-" a voice came from behind him. He screamed and backed away from her, as the tears pushed their way down his face. He stared at her wide eyed, and after realizing it was Tara, he calmed down a bit.

"Are you okay?" She asked timidly, unsure of how Devin went from being fine to an emotional mess.

After a brief moment of him getting some soothing breaths in, he wiped his face and replied, "W-we have to be careful. This place is filled with traps or something."

She looked at him inquisitively, "Is that what this spear is?" She looked at it horrified, studying it.

The metal spear was definitely in the ground securely, along with the piece of his shirt. It would've done some serious damage, probably ending his life had he gotten hit.

He pointed out the wire he fell over, "I tripped over this, and only by chance, I didn't get gutted from this!" He pressed his hands into his face, crying more.

"So it's a tripwire? We should be more aware of our surroundings." She said, as she looked down the hall. She looked back at the person she just met and pulled him into a hug comforting him.

"So, you're officially with me?" He asked sniffling and wiping away the tears, She nodded in agreement.

"And yes, let's be cautious and more aware." He agreed to her earlier statement.

They slowly paced down the elongated hall. Not too long after, they saw a door cracked open on their left, and it read 'Four'. Devin looked back to Tara, she just shrugged at him.
He moved forward slowly and decided to close the door, not looking in.
