Nissa had pressed Tara's button. Preparing for backlash, she opened the door slowly. To her amazement, everything was fairly calm. Damien was next to the door, waiting for access to the next section, and Devin was waiting next to the doors waiting for Nissa to come out. She then tatted scanning the other room with her eyes, she locked onto Tara first, seeing she was still alive. She then fixated her eyes on Jarvis and saw his body hanging limply from the bed, still tied up. "WHAT THE HELL!!" Nissa screeched in fury.
"Woah what's wrong?" Devin inquired.
"She's supposed to be dead!" She stormed over to the glass looking at Tara and continued, "You will die. No matter what it takes." Nissa fixated her eyes onto Tara giving her a dark look.
"You need to calm down. Thank God She is alive, do you not know what would've happened if you kept Jarvis around?!" Damien retaliated.
"I agree with him Nissa," Devin stepped forward "You and I both saw that Damien is hurt, and he clearly tried to take him out himself. Imagine what he would've done to us!" Devin finished.
Nissa sighed, "Yeah, I guess you're right, but I'm still upset with Tara.
"I am sorry, I know I caved in at the beginning, but I have, and will continue to pull my weight. I gave my life up for Damien, to make up for Daniel's death. I know it's not any excuse but I am trying."
Nissa looked down, 'I can't believe I just almost ended her life... and I didn't know about any of that. I let my anger get the best of me' she felt a heavy guilt in her stomach.
"Daniel... I knew him, and Brenden before all of this happened. I had a memory when I was in the room." Nissa said out loud.
"W-What?" Devin said, feeling suspicious of that statement.
"I met Tara before this too" Damien added in.
Tara looked up unsure of what it was he was referring to. "What do you mean we met?"
"Do you remember, an incident with a drug dealer, and a gun." Damien softly said.
Tara instantly remembered exactly what it was he was talking about. Before Tara could respond the door clicked open to the next room. The metal bars restraining Jarvis and Tara released, dropping both of them to the floor. The three of them hurried through the room and entered the door that connected to where Tara and Jarvis currently were. They helped Tara to her feet, and looked back at Jarvis. "Good thing he isn't moving forward with us from this point on." Tara said, looking at Damien. He nodded and proceeded to hug her, "Thank you for saving my life"
"I guess I owed you for what you did back then." She stated. They all moved with each other into the next room, but it was empty.
"What the hell? No Torture device or anything?" Nissa said confused.
"That is unlike anything we've experienced thus far" Devin added.
"Well I think we should take our time to discuss what happened in the pasts, it could be useful information" Tara spoke.
Devin was feeling unsure of what everyone was talking about. He wasn't sure to why he was the only one who didn't remember something about anyone here. "I'm not sure why I haven't had something come to me yet"
"Well I didn't remember until Damien reminded me about it" Tara replied to Devin.
"Well how did you end up remembering what happened to you?" Tara looked at Nissa,
"I passed out inside of the room I was in, some gas was being put in the room, I got dizzy and blacked out."
"Oh! there was gas in the tube that Jarvis and I were in too" Tara quickly injected
"Well I remembered from passing out, but I passed out because of the fight between Jarvis and I" Damien said.
"So, does that mean I have to go unconscious so I can remember something? And how long ago are we talking about? Because if it was something fairly recent you'd think we would all remember each other." Devin questioned, he was lost at this point.
"Well mine happened about two years ago I'd say" Nissa stated, "Ours too" Tara added on.
"Hmm... I just got to thinking. You know how after a full day if you saw someone you may have seen from a long time ago, you could have a dream refreshing your memory of what happened during that time?" Devin stated slowly as he thought more about it.
"Yeah, but it hasn't been a full day" Nissa responded.
"Okay, it doesn't matter necessarily how long, but since we've seen each other and know who each other are, our minds are connecting the pieces from memories a long time ago." Devin concluded.
"And how is it you know this information?" Damien inquired
"Well, I happened to have learn about this when I was trying to major in psychology, it's basically similar to that of a memory block. I dont remember the specifics because I got a masters in the medical field instead. But I do remember something about that" Devin finished.
"So maybe if you go to sleep or unconscious you'll remember?" Tara said, following up on what he was saying.
"I mean we can try, but I don't think I could go to sleep, not with what's going on as of current" Devin explained.
"Well, if you're up for it, we could knock you out" Damien softly murmured.
"I mean, if I have to, then I'll do it. We have to know what happened with me, and see if there is some kind of importance to this." Devin said.
The other three looked at each other,
"If you think I'm doing it, you're wrong. I'm not strong enough." Nissa tried to back out of it.
"Well, if I had my wiffle ball bat, it'd make this easier, but I don't." Tara teased, trying to lighten up the moment. Devin lightly chuckled about it then gulped, knowing he was about to get knocked out.
Damien sighed, "Here goes nothing" Damien pulled his arm back, and tightened his fist. Devin tensed up and closed his eyes, bracing for the impact. Damien swung his fist hitting the side of Devin's head, making him drop unconscious instantly.
