Heyyyy, so sorry I havent updated, just havent been bothered. But Im updating now so YAY

Aelin

She didn't know why, but when Feyre asked about wyrd keys she told her, not the whole truth, but enough.

It seemed to take a lifetime to tell the story of the keys, Aelin was so exhausted, physically and mentally, from the beatings and Feyre searching through her mind.

But finally, finally her story was complete, Feyre just stared, a look of mild shock written across her face, not moving from her position in front of Aelin. It was an effort to keep her head up, Aelin could not remember a time when she had felt as week as she did now. Even as she struggled to keep her head up, her eyes began to ache and slowly close, exhaustion winning out.

'I'm sorry,' Feyre whispered as sleep finally claimed her.

Feyre

Wanting to know about what Maeve so desperately sought was not my only motivation for hearing about these so called keys. No, I could see the exhaustion written on every inch of Aelin, and I had played it to my advantage. I knew that the talking would tire her, lowering those shields that she had kept up. I wasn't proud of it, but I need the answers.

I slipped into Aelins mind easily, her shields crumbling ice and smoldering flame easily maneuvered around. And what I found was terrifying.

I pulled myself out of her mind and stumbled towards the door and out into the hall.

Two of the keys were in the position of a white haired beauty named Manon and the third was in the position of a demon king. Mother save us, this was, this was- I did not have the words to describe the situation that I had been dragged into. And although I did not know much of this realm, from what Aelin told me of the keys, this land would be no better off if Maeve ever got a hold of those wretched things.

After stumbling through corridors and passages I finally found Maeves receiving room and Maeve with in.

'Well, what do you have for me?' Maeve wasted no time on small talk. 'The keys,' I tried to hold her stare, 'are hidden somewhere in her land, she does not know where.' I hoped I had made the right choice as Maeve's eyes hardened and locked on to me. The weight of the stare would have broken mortal Feyre, but I was no longer mortal and I stared right back. 'Clever girl,' Maeve said at last, 'very well if she does not know where the keys are, then her court does.' She turned the sentry posted on one of the walls; 'bring me Tamlin.' She commanded and then the guard scurried off through a hidden door to find Tamlin.

The sentry returned a short while later with Tamlin behind him. It felt like an age since I had seen Tamlin, he strode immediately to my side, over protectiveness seemed to radiate from him as he reached for my hand and clasped it tightly. I didn't have the energy to feel disgusted as Maeve rose to her feet, 'It seems that I still have use for you two,' she said as she glided towards us. 'You are to go back to the continent and find my keys.' Her voice was commanding and left no room for question.

Hope you like it <3
