Once upon a time
I had my happily ever after
I slept in peace
I dreamt of smiles and laughterSunlight shimmered softly
As I sprawled out on golden fields of flowers
Dewy grass blades tickled my feet
A brief hundred years felt only hoursUntil the first dark day
When thunderous clouds flooded my sky
They washed away my dreams
And struck me to realityWhen I opened my eyes
A strange man stood before me
Numb to all of the horrors I could see
His eyes clouded of greedOn one knee, he declared me his wife
From then on, I was sentenced for life
To my happily never after
