you were driving back home from the resort that you were hanging out with your friends at. the road was pretty empty as the air roughly hit your face and made your hair fly in every direction possible. it was so uncomfortably silent and you knew the ride would be quite long since it was located far away from your home and you wouldn't handle that silence for the whole ride so you decided to blast some of your favorite songs to keep you company.

in the midst of you enjoying the music, you felt the car getting slower and slower until it had completely stopped moving. you immediately turned off the music and stepped out of the car to see what happened when you found out that you ran out of gas. you tried your hardest to keep your calm and not panic but you couldn't help but feel panicked because you were basically stuck at an empty road with no gas stations nearby. in addition to that it was getting dark. you tried to think of something to do but couldn't find anything helpful so you had to stand in a visible spot and wait for any car to notice you and stop to help you.

you deeply regretted going with your friends there in the first place as you mentally cursed yourself and thought that if you hadn't gone with them you wouldn't have been stuck here.

you were waiting for almost half an hour but nothing worked. you started getting more scared since it was getting darker and your vision was becoming a little bad. it was also getting chillier and you didn't bring a jacket with you so you were shivering from coldness as you hugged yourself for warmth. finally after all that wait you saw a car flashing its lights directly at you. you felt your eyes hurt due to the brightness of the flash lights but were thankful that someone was finally going to help you.

a few seconds later the car stopped moving and the door opened, revealing a young guy who seemed to be around your age coming at your direction. once he was only a few inches away from you you could see his face, you had to admit that this guy was so good looking and he seemed like a gentleman.

"do you need any help?" the guy politely asked. you nodded your head, pointing at your car.

"yes, i was hanging out with my friends and was on my way home when my car ran out of gas and now i'm stuck here." you said.

"then get in, i'll drive you home." the guy offered to which you accepted. he walked ahead of you and opened the door for you. you thanked him before stepping in as he closed the door and got into the driver's seat and started the car.

"what a shame that i haven't introduced myself yet. i'm lee hoetaek, you?" hoetaek asked, not even looking away from the road.

"i'm y/n." you introduced yourself before a wave of awkward silence filled the atmosphere between you two. you wanted to break the silence but couldn't think of anything to do so.

"so what's your address?" hoetaek asked, breaking the silence. you gave him the address as silence filled the atmosphere once again. you put a hand on your cheek and glued your eyes to the window.

"you look bored, want me to play something for you?" hoetaek asked, interrupting you from your thoughts. you slowly nodded in agreement as he plugged in his aux and played songs from his phone, you were quite surprised when you heard your favorite song playing.

"hey you like this song? that's my favorite!" you exclaimed, moving your body to the beat. he nodded in agreement. you were too occupied with the song that you didn't notice hoetaek glancing at you with a small smile on his face. seeing you being all dumb and spontaneous made him feel happy.

"you know, you still look cute even though you're a terrible dancer." hoetaek chuckled.

"i like the first half better." you said, faking a pout as your eyes were focused on the road.

an hour later you and hoetaek finally reached your house. you felt the car slowly stopping as he parked the car right in front of your door.

"thank you so much for the ride." you thanked him as you slowly stepped out of the car.

"no need to thank me, y/n." hoetaek smiled at you. for the first time since you saw him you didn't notice how beautiful his smile was until now. you felt a tint of pink creeping in your cheeks which you tried to hide.

you were about to walk away when you heard hwitaek calling your name.

"hey y/n? can i um, get your number?" hoetaek shyly asked. you found it pretty cute when he was all shy. you smiled and nodded your head as he gave you his phone. you typed your number on the keypad and gave him the phone back when your hands touched for a split second before you immediately pulled your hand away.

"i guess i'll see you around, y/n." hoetaek said before driving away, leaving you completely flustered.
