it was sunny outside although it was winter when you decided to go take a look at your garden full of flowers. flowers were your biggest passion and you've kept a large collection of different types of flowers in your garden. you looked at them and thought that they needed to be watered, so you got your watering can and started watering them.

while you were too busy watering your flowers someone had already snuck into the garden and picked one of your flowers, you heard some footsteps and tried to find out who was there but unfortunately that person ran away too fast you couldn't find out who he was.

now thinking about it, it wasn't the first time you find out that someone had been sneaking into your garden every day and picked flowers. your head kept thinking of who could possibly do it but couldn't find anyone so you decided to ask your neighbor jinho whose house was right next to yours if he might've seen anyone sneak into your garden.

in slow steps you made your way to your neighbor's house and knocked on the door a few times. you were slightly nervous because you had never had a proper conversation with him and barely know his name so you were afraid he'd think of you as a total weirdo and the thought of you embarrassing yourself in front of your longtime crush was controlling your mind and even thought of backing out  but it was too late now when you saw the door opening only to reveal a boy who was only a few inches taller than you. you had to admit that he was actually good looking.

"hello, y/n! please come in!" jinho offered you to come in and of course you couldn't say no to him so you just walked in. once you walked in you immediately felt waves of warmth against your cold body, his house was a little smaller than yours but it was so cozy that you actually felt yourself like home.

"your house is so lovely!" you said in complete awe. he chuckled at your statement as he motioned for you to have a seat.

"i'll go make us some hot chocolate, make yourself like home." with that jinho disappeared from your sight as he headed for the kitchen to make the drinks.

you stared at the walls, they were decorated with many pictures; probably pictures of him when he was a kid. you found them quite cute and lovely. it didn't take jinho so long since he was now back with two cups of hot chocolate in his hands, the smell of chocolate filled the atmosphere and went straight into your nostrils. he leaned over and handed you your cup and sat on the chair right next to you.

"so how can i help you with, y/n?" he asked as you took a small sip of your hot chocolate before answering.

"well i've been noticing that someone has been barging into my garden and stealing flowers from it and i was just wondering if you by any chance saw someone sneak in without me noticing." you explained. he only hummed before excusing himself to go and get something as you simply nodded. you actually found that quite weird but didn't say anything and just waited for him to get back.

a few minutes later he was back, you noticed that he was hiding something behind his back. you tried to see what it was but failed and eventually gave up.

"you mean these flowers?" jinho asked, revealing a bouquet that contained all your flowers, especially your favorite ones: tulips and daisies. he handed it to you and you could immediately feel the lovely smell of them filling the air.

"yes, but how did you get these?" you curiously asked. jinho scratched the back of his neck and you could see that he was quite nervous, as if he wanted to say something but couldn't.

for the first time in his life, jinho felt so nervous that he was at a loss of words. he took a deep breath he didn't know he was holding and gathered the words he wanted to say before finally opening his mouth to speak.

"uh actually i-it was me. i don't know why i was doing that at first, stealing flowers from a complete stranger. i tried to convince myself that i was probably doing that only because i liked the flowers. but then i realized that it wasn't about the flowers—it was something much bigger, then i used to sneak in just to steal glances at you every once in a while and just admire your beauty for a couple of minutes and that's when i realized that i had probably fell for you, so hard. but i never dared to say anything about it because you'd find it really weird." you were flustered that someone would actually do something like that as it was definitely a first for you. and was surprised that he knew your favorite types of flowers. he admitted his feelings for you in the cutest way possible and couldn't feel but smile brightly.

"jinho this is actually so sweet, and i actually love you too." you were playing with your fingers, keeping your eyes on the ground. you had never seen that coming since you usually didn't admit your feelings fast but jinho was different.

you finally looked up and your eyes immediately met his, they were sparkling and the sun made them look even more sparkly which you found quite fascinating. the moment was so beautiful that you wanted time to freeze right at this exact moment and live it forever.

"so, um, mind if i take you out for coffee or something tomorrow?" you nodded as he scooted closer to you and cupped your cheeks in the palms of his warm hands as he deeply stared at your once again. his hands softly caressed your cheeks which gave you goosebumps, it's been a long time since you last felt this way around someone.

you can feel the gap between you two get narrower and narrower until there was no gap at all, he then leaned in and kissed your lips—it was slow yet passionate and you definitely enjoyed it before he had pulled away. you could feel a lingering feeling on your lips for a few seconds and before you realized it, your cheeks were now colored in different shades of pink. jinho chuckled and playfully pinched your cheeks.

"you look cute when you blush." he complimented you which made you blush even more as you only giggled. you were just too happy that you had finally found an answer to your questions and the answer was exactly what you wanted to hear.
