you woke up, feeling happier and more excited than usual. the reason was that it was your second anniversary with your boyfriend shinwon. you still remember how amazing the first one was when he took you out for a fancy dinner at an expensive restaurant so you were expectations were higher this time.

you got into the bathroom and took a warm shower, you stepped out and changed into something comfortable and laid back on your bed.

your heart was already beating rapidly just at the thought of it. you truly loved shinwon so much. you still remember how he asked you out in front of his friends back at his dorm, although it wasn't the most original way to ask someone out you were still happy that he asked you out since you've had a crush on him for the longest time and now you were in a relationship for two years.

just then, you decided to call him to know what he had planned for you today. you quickly grabbed your phone and scrolled down your contacts until you found his name and pressed the call button. you waited for him to answer but surprisingly, he didn't. a worried look made its way to your face. but then again you assumed he was asleep and probably didn't hear the phone so you thought that he'd call you back later when he woke up.

time passed by and shinwon hadn't called you yet nor hadn't responded to your many texts and calls. worry and anxiety had already got the best of you. is he mad at me? did i make him upset? you thought, but was unsure of why he had been ignoring you all day.

it was almost dark, the sky was colored in different colors of orange and yellow. you were looking at the lovely sight from your window. it was so beautiful, you loved sunsets so much and always enjoyed them but you couldn't enjoy this one. you could feel your eyes tearing up as hot fresh tears made their way out of your eyes. you quickly wiped them off, you didn't want anything to ruin your day.

"he'll call you, y/n. he hadn't forgotten." you thought, still having a little hope that shinwon might answer your calls or show up at any minute.

just then you heard some noise coming from your balcony. you walked out to see what was it when you saw something unexpected.

you saw shinwon standing there all dressed up next to candles that were shaped as a big heart and holding a giant panda bear and a box filled with chocolate, which was your favorite thing. you couldn't believe what you just saw, you didn't know how to feel. you wanted to punch him for ignoring you but wanted to hug him for the surprise.

you realized that you were still in your pajamas so you quickly went to change as you were now dressed up in a strapless pink dress and quickly applied some light makeup on. you slipped into your silver high heels and tied your hair into a ponytail, you took a look at the mirror one last time before walking outside.

once you were in the backyard you were greeted by an almost shocked shinwon. you could feel a blush creeping into your cheeks when he planted a soft kiss on your forehead.

"happy anniversary babe, you look dazzling tonight." he softly whispered as he gave you the stuffed animal and the box of chocolates, your cheeks got even redder.

he gently took your hand as he asked you for a dance, you agreed even if  it was embarrassing for you because you were a terrible dancer.

"i thought you forgot about our anniversary since you kept ignoring my calls and texts all day." you said in a low tone, yet it was still audible for shinwon. your face buried in his chest.

"of course i'd never forget such a special occasion and i'm sorry babe, but i wanted to surprise you. although it was rather cliche." shinwon apologized. you smiled at how thoughtful he was.

"it was beautiful, thank you shinwon." you thanked him.

the two of you stopped dancing and laid down on the grass and hugged you tight, his hand was gently moving in circles as he played with your hair, the sky was beautiful and full of stars, you were silently admiring the beauty of it. the atmosphere was quite silent, but none of you was bothered. you were enjoying one another's company and that's all that mattered.

"hey y/n?" shinwon called, breaking the silence. it came out more of a question than a statement. you turned to face him you deeply stared into each other's eyes. you softly hummed.

"i love you, so much. and i'm so lucky to have an amazing girl like you." shinwon admitted, you could feel his hot breath on your neck which gave you some sort of a tingling feeling. your heart was beating faster by the minute and you were feeling completely flustered.

"shinwon i-i love you so much more." you whispered softly as you planted a soft kiss on his cheeks and turned your gaze on the night sky.
