The Rinnegan

Kakashi

I was woken up the next day by an anxious Naruto, and saw his team mates and sensei standing over me.

"Mineko! Are you ok?" He said.

"... How long have you been standing there..." I asked groggily.

"Only a few minutes. you're hard to wake up." He replied.

I stood up and grabbed my small pack. "Well, um, sorry I better be off..." I said as I started to walk off.

"Mineko!" I heard Kakashi shout as he ran up to me.

"Seriously, I'm fine."

"Where is your teacher?" he asked.

"Well, I don't entirely know. But there would be no point seeing as he's never taught me because he dislikes me."

"He's never taught you?"

"I've taught everything I know to myself or copied other people."

"So you have no one to teach you?"

"Seems like it." I shrugged my shoulders. "I've got nothing."

He looked at me in an almost fatherly way, the way i had seen him look at Naruto. "We are going to see the hokage."

"But I'm not even from here, you shouldn't even be helping me." I said.

"There are something's that need sorting out." He said. We started walking and neither of us talked along the way. We finally reached the hokages offices, and Kakashi went to talk with him, leaving me outside. I didn't realise how pivotal that moment was to me until later on. After a few minutes, I saw two ninjas run off and return with my sensei, and I was called into the Hokages office.

The third Hokage looked at me kindly. "what is your name?"

"Mineko Uzumaki." I said.

"And this is your teacher?" he said, gesturing to my now fuming sensei.

"Yes." I said, not saying anything that would get me beaten.

The hokage stood up. "I know of your situation, and I am appalled at how it's turned out for you. I am giving you a chance at a new start, and am giving you the option to come and live here in Konoha. We have spoken with your sensei and he has agreed to let you. Will you accept this offer, and become part of Kakashi's cell?"

I was blown away by this sudden change. "Yes. I accept your offer." a smile crept onto my face. My old sensei left the room, and I turned to leave when the hokage called my name.

"I still have a few things to tell you. Come and sit with me. " he gestured to pillows on the floor. "Kakashi, would you mind bringing Naruto in here?"

"Yes, Lord third." he said, and he went off as the third hokage and I sat down

"Now, we will give you accommodation here, along with your pay and training which Kakashi shall give you."

"Lord third, mad I ask why you are letting me stay here? I'm not even from Konoha." I asked, still puzzled and overwhelmed.

"That will all be explained once young Naruto is present." We heard him in the corridor with Kakashi. "that'll be him no doubt. you can here him from a mile away." he said slightly chuckling. They entered the room and sat down next to me. Naruto looked at me anxiously, and I gave the same look in return. "I have some things that both of you need to know, seeing as you'll both be living here. It seems only right to tell you-"

"You're living here now?!" Naruto exclaimed to me. I nodded.

"As I was saying," The third said. "You are brother and sister. Twins separated at birth because we didn't know how to control both the powers of the rinnegan and the nine tails." We looked at each other in awe, and I didn't know exactly how to feel. "Your parents were Kushina Uzumaki, the last nine tails jinchuriki, and Minato Namikase, the Fourth Hokage. I know you will be angry with us for keeping this from you, but we had to in order to keep you and the village safe. We had to separate you because the village would have come under attack because of both of your powers. But now, we can utilise both powers to work together, as the rinnegan can help control the nine tails power."

I smiled at Naruto, and his anger quickly vanished, and he grinned back at me.

"We will move you both into a bigger apartment in the village, and you will both be in cell seven with Kakashi as your teacher. Do either of you have any questions?" The third asked.

"How long is Mineko staying here for?" Naruto asked.

I turned to him."Im never leaving." I said, and laughed. We hugged each other so tightly, and we both ended up crying. I heard both Kakashi and the Hokage laugh.

I wiped my eyes and looked at both if them with a smile. "So when do we start training?"

ok. This story took a different direction to what I intended, but I think it will work out better this way.
