Chapter 12

DANIEL
Daniel stared at himself in his bedroom mirror. He had just gotten dressed for the music video shoot they were doing today and he was supposed to be excited. But he felt..... nothing. Numb. He should also be excited about seeing Logan, there was a little flare of heat in his stomach when he thought about seeing him, but it was no where as strong as it normally was. He looked at the bags under his eyes due to his lack of sleep last night. How was he supposed to sleep when Jack hated him and Derek was threatening him? At the thought of Derek his gut tightened and his whole body tensed. What even was Derek's problem? His aggressive behaviour towards him was scaring Daniel and he had no idea how to deal with it. He knew he could've told Logan what Derek had said when they talked on the phone yesterday but it was his problem and he wasn't about to drag Logan into it. At the knock at his door he turned around to see Corbyn enter the room.

"Hey, you ready? "

" Yea, Yea I'm ready. "

" Can we talk for a sec? "

Daniel froze as Corbyn's question, he didn't like the sound of it.

" I guess", he warily replied.

"What's happening with you, Jack and Logan."

"Noth-"

"Daniel don't tell me there's nothing going on I'm not blind. You and Logan could barely take your eyes of each other in the meeting yesterday and suddenly Jack doesn't even want to hear your name. Tell me! "

Daniel heaved a breath as he contemplated whether to tell Corbyn the truth. He knew Corbyn was an amazing guy who would understand and Daniel was sure he was gonna explode if he didn't tell somebody what was happening. So he did. He told him about liking Logan and finally getting to be with him. He told him about Jack's confession about liking him and his request that Daniel choose him. He even told him about Derek's threats against him.

"Whoa ", Corbyn responded. "I figured something was going on but I wouldn't have guessed it was this complicated. So.... you and Logan huh?"

"Yea me and Logan. "

"I knew you were gay when I walked in on you in the shower spraying water up your ass and enjoying it", Corbyn said with a laugh.

Daniel smiled despite being torn up about his situation. Trust Corbyn to make him smile.

Corbyn's expression then turned stony as he asked, "What the fuck is Derek's problem. Frankly it's weird what he's been saying to you. If he was worried about your career all he had to say was not let the public find out. Why is he so set about you not being with Jack and Logan or even us finding out?"

Daniel was too busy being distressed to even think about the fact that Derek's behaviour was a bit strange. Now that Corbyn had brought it he could see where the reasons for his threats made no sense.

"Why do you think he's doing it then?"

"Who knows, and right now who cares. Come on we have a video shoot to get to and you have a man to see. I'll talk to Jack after am sure once he knows your happy with Logan he'll get over it. "

Daniel nodded and smiled at Corbyn
What would he do without these boys?
They arrived at the art gallery where the shoot was taking place to see it teeming with people who all had camera equipment. Daniel scanned the crowd for Logan but couldn't catch sight of him.

"Ok boys, go get dressed for the shoot", Derek instructed him and the other of the band.

They got into the dressing room and Daniel noticed Jack trying to ignore him as much as possible. He'd been doing it since the morning and had barely looked at him since they left the house. He looked at Corbyn who was smiling sympathetically at him and making a shooing gesture for him to go talk to Jack. He sighed but walked over to Jack where he was in a corner of the room.
