Chapter 6

Daniel
"Ayo Bro! "

Daniel jerked away from Logan at the sound of Jake entering the apartment. In his haste to get as far away from Logan as possible he fell off the couch, hitting his elbow on the coffee table on his way down. He grimaced in pain and looked up to catch Jake's confused expression.

"What's going?" on he questioned.

"Why is Daniel on the floor and where are the rest of the boys? ''

Daniel jumped to his feet quickly trying his damn hardest to not look at Logan.  Had he really been about to kiss him!

"What are you doing here  Jake! " Logan shouted at his brother.

" I told you I was worried about you! I came to check that you're OK! "

" I told you am fine! "

Jake stopped at that and turned to look at Daniel.

" Hey Daniel "

" H-hey Jake", Daniel stutteringly replied.

He just wanted to leave this situation and he was close to begging the earth to open up and consume him. He still couldn't bring himself to look at Logan and told him while looking at the floor;

"I think am gonna leave"

He didn't look up to catch the disappointment that flashed across Logan's face.

"Ok, I'll walk you out ", he heard Logan reply.

Daniel grabbed his jacket and made his way to the door to the apartment, walking as quickly as he could. He opened the door and was about to walk through when he felt Logan's hand grab his wrist.

" Daniel ", he said in a whisper. " Can I call you tonight? We need to talk. "

Daniel turned around finally looking at Logan. His eyes uncontrollably flicked down to Logan's lips. Those same lips that were so close to his a couple minutes ago. He didn't imagine Logan's fingers on his cheek or his hand on the back of his neck. He returned his gaze to Logan's eyes and knew he had to know what was going on.

" Y-Yea sure", he replied and walked out of the apartment leaving Logan behind.

Daniel hurried into his house, eager to get to his room and process everything that just happened. During the entire ride home, his mind had been plagued with thoughts of Logan and their near kiss. He got to his room and nearly groaned out loud at the sight of Corbyn and Jack sitting on his bed. He just wanted to be alone!

"Why are you guys in my room, am gonna need can you please leave? "

" Whoa! ", Corbyn yelled dramatically. " Somebody's in a prissy mood! We just wanted to know what happened today. No worries we'll leave, come on Jack "

Daniel watched Corbyn leave the room and shook his head.  He didn't want to be a dick but he wanted them out.  Jack was curiously still sitting on the bed and looking at him.

" What happened today Daniel? Why are you in such a bad mood. "

Daniel sighed at the question he really didn't feel like being interrogated.

" It's fine Jack, I'm fine can you please leave. "

" Was it Logan! Did that fucker do something to you! I know you like him! "

Daniel stumbled back under the force of Jack's words. He didn't know what to contemplate first, the fact that Jack knew he was gay or that he knew Daniel liked Logan.

" Wh-What...... " he said breathlessly, struggling to breathe.

" Don't bullshit me Daniel,  I know you're gay, you looked at me like I was a bowl of Mexican food when we just met . "

Daniel recoiled further and was sure he was gonna lose his mind. He thought he had hidden his attraction pretty well. What the fuck!

" You knew? ", he asked Jack. He didn't have the strength to deny it.

" Yea I knew........ I  liked you too just so you know.... I was just waiting. It was a surprise liking you... I wanted to figure myself out. But then you stopped liking me! You're into Logan now I can tell! "

At this point Daniel had fully fallen onto his bed. This was way too much information. His brain was about fried. Jack liked him! What the fuck!

" J - Jack, What are you.... I mean how is.... how are you even.... what the fuck! "

Daniel was surprised when Jack busted out laughing and was even more surprised when he got up and hovered over him. He was close enough for Daniel to see the gold flecks in his eyes.

" You're so fucking pretty, you know that?,  Jack whispered in the suddenly silent room.

Daniel's heart flew into his throat as he felt Jack' lips brushing his neck. He then smirked at him and walked out of the room throwing a 'see you later' behind him. Daniel quickly got up and locked the door behind Jack. He was going to need a couple hours alone after the day he just had. What the fuck!

He laid on his back staring up at the ceiling of his room. Daniel had no idea what was even happening. Logan! Logan had tried to kiss him today. Daniel had felt his breath on his lips. Now that he was having a chance to think about it, he could feel the tingles all over again.
But then...... His stomach dropped as he recalled Jack's lips against his neck. He knew what it meant that they both tried to kiss him but he didn't want to think about. Didn't want to even entertain the idea of making a choice.... ..

Logan

Logan angrily punched his living room wall. He grimaced at the pain but it was a welcome distraction from the turmoil in his head. He would gladly strangle his brother  right then for his shitty ass timing. Logan had just kicked him out of the apartment ignoring his claims of checking on him.
He had nearly kissed him! He was about to finally satisfy his curiosity about how Daniel's lips tasted. He could almost feel them on his own. He felt the urge to kill Jake all over again.
He paced a bit and looked over at his cell phone. He knew he told Daniel he would call him later but he couldn't wait, he had to call him now.

"H-hello. "

Logan swore as he heard the timid voice answer the phone. He hoped he didn't ruin things between, he wanted Daniel and he needed to make his move.

" Hey baby, you ok? "

Logan grimaced when he heard Daniel's gasp as he registered what he had said. Baby!

" I'm sorry I called you that! Although I hope someday I'll get to say that to you....and more. "

Logan waited for a response a d grew agitated as the silence stretched.

" Daniel? You still there? "

The silence continued to lengthen until he heard the timid voice.

" I h-have to go "

He hung up.

Wooo!!!! Seems like Logan has some competition! Poor Daniel, caught between his two crushes. I wonder who he'll choose! I'm shit at making up ship names so you guys can come up with two but let me know if you're team Logan + Daniel or team Jack + Daniel.
