Bad Surprises

(Y/N) POV:

Levi stormed into the dining hall, his hair in all directions, breathing heavily. 

I chuckled lightly as I dropped into his seat.

"What happened to you?" I questioned humorously. He made a face.

"That dragon guy. He's threatening to take you away from me."

My chuckles turned into a full-blown laugh causing him to glare at me.

"Don't worry! You know as well as I do that I won't leave you for him. Unless you're doubting me? In that case, maybe I should go for him..."

"NO! I mean no. I'm not doubting you I'm just... just.."

"Just what huh?" I was trying my goddamn best to not smile.

"Dammit (Y/N), you know I'm jealous."

"Aww. You finally said it."

Out of nowhere, a maid came barging into the room, panting after running up a bunch of stairs.

"Your Majesty! There is someone at the gates. She goes by the name of Petra Ral."

Levi and I stood up simultaneously while everyone else at the table was overcome with fear.

"I thought we finished her off!" I hissed at Levi.

"I thought so too. I don't know how the damn brat survived in that incinerator. It might not be her though. It could be a fake that she put for after she died?"

"That is a possibility but it seems impossible."

We both followed the maid to the front gate as a few other maids led the rest of the class to a safe room. 

Once we arrived there was a sickening sight that met my eye. 

Petra.

Her face looked distorted and she had horrible burns all over her. Her clothes were bloody and in her hand was a head. My eyes widened when I realized whose head it was. My father.

Gripping onto Levi's arm, I resisted the powerful urge to throw up. 

Petra had a psychotic grin on her face as she clutched the gate, her eyes holding every bit of madness she had.

"Levi? I missed you so much! Don't worry, I forgive you for bashing my head with a rock. I sure did lose a lot of blood. Why are you still with her?" 

He furrowed his eyebrows as he opened his mouth to speak.

"She is my girlfriend, Petra. Get that in your thick head. I love her, not you."

Her expression darkened as she pulled a sinister smile.

"Oh, you're just caught in her web! She's just using you, Levi, don't you see. I'm the one-"

"Cut the crap Petra. You know for a fact that I'm never going to love you. You need to understand that and stop trying to kill people."

"Petra." My voice was surprisingly not wobbly, "You do realize that we are the rulers of this forest and from one word we can banish you?"

Her eyes widen, which was soon followed by a smirk.

"You think you can get rid of me? Why don't you do it yourself? Or are you too weak to fight me?"

"No. I'm not too weak to fight you. I just don't want to risk getting infected by if I touch you." I said, smiling.

"You nasty bitch. How dare you say that to me! When I get through these gates I will behead you and slice off every limb on your fucking body!"

"Guard." Levi's majestic voice rung out. Immediately, two tall guards came running over and stopped in a saluting position. 

"Yes, your majesty?"

"Take that animal away. Somewhere far away so she can never return."

"Yes!" They saluted once more and ran over to Petra, jumping over the gate. Before they reached the ground on the other side, their human form turned into phoenixes and both of them grabbed Petra with their claws. 

"I will return for you both! I will have you, Levi! And you, (Y/N), it will give me great pleasure to bathe in your blood."

Levi and I turned around and walked back into the castle. Suddenly, Gadien appeared by my side.

"Your majesty, may I ask who that was?"

"That's a girl named Petra Ral. She was a girl I used to be friends with when I was younger but we grew apart when I moved cities. Since she was a little girl, she loved Levi. She loved him to the point she would cut off his connections with other people in fear that he would develop feelings for them. She wanted Levi to have feelings for her and her only. Somehow, she managed to find ways to keep constant watch over Levi. So when we both started hanging out, she would watch us. Eventually, we went on a few dates which must have angered her. One day, she kidnapped me and was very close to killing me. Luckily, Levi managed come in just in time and take me away from her. A few days later she returned and cut everyone in the school, locking them in a room. We managed 'kill' her. Looks like she managed to survive. Out of jealousy, or the fact she's downright insane, she killed my dad, probably killing the rest of my family in the process. She is actually so dumb.And I know that's a very weak word but then again, she is a weak person."

"And so she came here in search of King Levi?"

"Yep."

Gadian furrowed his eyebrows; I could almost hear his brain whizzing away.

"I have a plan."
