[HIATUS] Will You Stay By Me? levi X Reader. Highschool AU

I love her too much.

"(Y/N)! Give the toy back!" I shouted, tugging at the teddy bear.

"But it's MY turn Eren, not yours."

"I only had a little turn though!" I pouted, letting (Y/N) embrace it protectively.

"Kids, kids! What's all the fuss about?" My mom walked out the house, drying her hand with a cloth.

"Mommy! (Y/N) took the teddy bear Armin found and she's not letting me have a turn."

"Hey little girl." I heard someone sneering. I whipped my head around and saw one of the meanies trying to snatch the bear of (Y/N) while she was struggling to keep a grip on it.

"Just give the damn thing to me, you don't deserve a toy, you're just a street rat." he exclaimed, and yanked the bear's head off its body.

(Y/N)'s face had shock written all over it, I wouldn't be surprised if she would start crying.

"You ugly bastard."

WHAT?! We're only 8! How does she know a bad word!! 

"Give me that bear's head, or you'll end up in the same state as it currently is." Her face looked terrifying, even Mikasa backed away slightly.

"Hah! You think I'll listen to a brat like you? Go away and cry to your  mom like you always do, you little ass."

(Y/N) smiled slightly as she walked up to him. She showed no sign of hesitation or fear, causing the bully and his cronies to back away a bit. 

"I don't think I'm the one who'll run away, crying to their mother."  She was right in front of him now.

"I'm pretty sure it'll be you"

She raised her fist, as if about to punch him, so he raised both arms up for self-defense. Pretty crappy self-defense if you ask me.

(Y/N) smirked at his actions, as if is she was planning him to do that. She dropped down to the ground, using her hands as support, and did a round house kick, causing him to fall down.  She jumped behind him before his head hit the ground with an incredible speed, and held his head in her arms tightly so that it didn't strangle him nor could he escape. 

The other bullies look in shock and fear, soon turning into anger. They made their way to (Y/N), two of them pulling the main bully with them, and one of them trying to grab a hold of  (Y/N).

"Oh no you don't" I though to myself. The bully raised a fist above his head while (Y/N) was struggling  under the tight grip of the others. I threw myself in front of her as his fist came into contact with my face. I felt a warm, iron tasting liquid in my mouth, almost choking me. I spat out whatever it was, soon discovering it was bright red blood. The color shocked me, but I turned my attention to (Y/N). 

Suddenly, there was a loud BANG. All the bullies looked up and sped off, as if they'd die of if they were any slower.

(Y/N)  and I looked up at the source of the sound and realized it was my mom and Mikasa, holding two pans in each hand, a menacing expression on their face. (Y/N) suddenly threw herself in my arms and embraced me. I was taken aback but quickly did the same to not raise any suspicion. 

"Thanks Eren. You really helped me out. I love you."  

My heart fluttered at these but I knew she didn't mean it in that way. She loves me as her best friend and older brother, even though we're not necessarily related. 

While in our hugging position, (Y/N) looked up at me,

"Eren? Why is your heart beating so fast? And why are your cheeks bright pink?"

I heard Mikasa and Armin giggling behind us.

"I'm just out of breath from running to you to protect you from that punch and my cheeks are pink after that punch."

"Meh, whatever you say." She shrugged and pulled away from the embrace. All this time, my mother was stitching up the bear and (Y/N) look at it in awe.

"WOW! MRS. YEAGER HOW DID YOU DO THAT! YOU'RE SO AMAZING!"

Mom chuckled slightly and gave the newly stitched bear to (Y/N),

"Magic." She stated with a warm smile. (Y/N) returned the smile and made her way towards me.

"You have it Eren." Her arms were out-stretched, wanting to give the bear to me.

"You deserve it. You protected me from getting hurt and you put up with me being a whiny bum everyday."

I felt my cheeks slowly heat up, and I tried my goddamn best to keep it under control.

"Thanks (Y/N). I'll call it... (Y/N)."

"HEY!" She laughed, " you can't do that! That's MY name silly!"

"Heheh, I'll call it (Y/N) Mc Junior then."

"That can work I suppose" She said, grinning happily. 

She ran over to me and hugged me once more.

"Thanks again Eren."

"Anytime (Y/N)."

I watched her as she ran off to play with Armin and Mikasa. 

"So Eren. You like her don't you."

I whipped my head around and saw my mom sitting next to me, looking at (Y/N), Armin and Mikasa. I sighed and looked at them again. There's no point in lying, my ears will turn bright red and mom will find out.

"Yeah, I love her."

"Love is strong word Eren. Do you really mean that?"

I looked up at her with a slight smile.

"Mom. I love her too much."

Hey guys! Sorry for the late update. A lot of shit has been going on these past few days. I had exams all week and I failed one topic so my Mom got rly pissed.  I rly feel alone and I keep crying which is unlike me. Even though I don't rly know my readers, I'd rly appreciate if u guys could text me on kik. I can explain more of whats happening on there.
