Levi's Pov:

"Mom? Dad?"

The screams of agony grew louder and louder, the shouts of anger over-powering it.

For weeks now, I could tell the relationship between Mom and Dad had gone down the drain, though they keep 'acting' happy around me. They're fucking clueless if they think I can't see through their crappy act.

I was sent to go to Farlan's house for the day, Dad had told me he was waiting for me. When I went over, he said otherwise.

Half an hour earlier:

*Knock Knock*

"Who is it?" A female's voice sang out from inside.

"It's me, Levi."

When the door opened, I was greeted by a confused face.

"What brings you here, Levi?" Farlan's mom inquired.

She doesn't know Farlan called for me?

As if on cue, Farlan came thumping down the stairs.

"Oh hey Levi! Wait, why are you here? I something wrong?"

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"My dad said that you called for me to meet up with you as soon as possible. Didn't you?"

"Nope. All day I've been helping mom clean around the house. Then I have to do some homework. I'm busy today so I couldn't have called for you."

"Oh. Well in that case, I better go home. See ya."

"See ya."

Present time:

He must've lied so he could have to to beat mom.

Quickening my pace, I soon found myself sprinting down the hall to their bedroom. Mom's cries grew more and more louder and more and more agonizing.

Pushing open the door with such a force, it got seperated from some of the hinges. The sight I was exposed too shattered any sort of love I had for my parents.

Mom was aiming a large kitchen knife at dad's chest while he strangled and kicked the life out of her.

They shot their heads round to find the source of the loud bang, surprised to find me there.

"L-levi, honey. Why are you here?" Mom tries asking, her voice quivering. She attempts to hug me but I roughly push her away.

"How dare you push your mother like that!"

"Why don't you shut the fuck up. How dare you abuse mom like that." I turned my head to mom and added, "And shame on you for stooping down so low to his level."

"Do you think I haven't noticed the 'lovey dovey' act between you two was a fake? Do you think every day I can sense the thick tension in the air? Do you think I'm that stupid to think a few smiles and hugs mean everything is alright? It's pretty obvious that you did think that and that you're both completely wrong. What the hell?! If you two hated each other that much, just get a fucking divorce! Beating each other senseless isn't going to solve each other's problems."

"Levi honey, we did this for you-"

"Don't give me that bullshit! You should know well enough that I'd eventually find out about this continuous physical abuse. A divorce would've better for not just me, but for you two."
