the next day
~Kiva
I wake up and my body is all sore. My parents really went all out last night. I guess that's what happens when they get drunk isn't? What you need to know is that my parents aren't usually abusive when they're sober. And if they are super and abusive it's because they had a really bad day at work or something like that. Or they fought or something.
I don't even know if I can move. I reach over to grab my phone. I go to Julius's contact and decide to text him and tell him I can't come to school today.not even five minutes after I text him he replies and it says
"WHY?!?!!"{Julius}
"Because my parents need me at home today."{me}
"I don't care if they need you at home I need to see you today! 😭" {Julius}
"suck it up buttercup I can't be there see you tomorrow I can come bye!" {me}
I drop my phone on my bed and just continue to lay there.

Kiva just texted me she can't come to school. I'm so sad I really wanted to see her today. Oh well I guess I'll just drop by her house later and see her then. Today's going to suck without her. Just then Xander put his hand on my shoulders.
"Hey so I need your help. It's going to be just this one time so you're definitely going to have to help me do it."
I give him a questioning look.
"My mate last night while we were laying in bed said something about wishing that we would go on a date. So I decided I want to take him on one today. So anyways... I need you to stall him after school for about an hour or two so I can get everything prepared at the park."
"I have to visit Kiva though. She said she can't come at school today so I'm a little bit worried. So unless I can take him to see her for an hour or two I can't."
He gives me a deadpan look.
"that's okay with me as long is you distracting for a while."
I smile at him and we walk to class.
----lunch------
Zander,Jordan, Jasmine, and I sit down at our table.
"Does anyone know why kiva iisn't here today? I texted her but she said she's not coming today but she didn't tell me why." Jasmine said.
Zander and Jordan say they don't know either. They all look at me an I shrug.
"I was going to ask her to explain more but she didn't. She just said that oher parents need her at home for some weird reason."
"she didn't mention anything yesterday about her parents yesterday. But I mean neither did I or you Julius or Zander."
---end of school at kiva's house---
(Still Julius POV)
I walk up to her door and before I and knock on her door I hear screaming. I freeze up and just stand there for a few minutes. All the sudden it stops and I hear stomping. I ran to my car. And watch as a man and a woman who I'm suggesting who are kiva's parents. Angrily walk out of the house and get in the car and then back the car up and then leave.
I take my chance and run into the house and run up to the room which I'm suggesting is kiva's. I opened it and nobody's in tthere it's just a regular bedroom. So I close the door and go to the next room. The next room is the bathroom. I go to the room at the back of the hallway upstairs and open it. In there I find Kiva hunched up on the ground in a fetal position with blood seeping through the back of her shirt. I almost want to cry at the view that's in front of me. I as calmly as possible walk up to Kiva. I crouched down in front of her and touch her cheek with my hand softly. She looks up at me with tears in her eyes. Then she starts shaking her head wildly.
"d-d-d don't look at me p-please Julius...."
"I'm sorry but I have to look at you to make sure you're okay. I have to look at you to help you okay?"
She continues to shake her head no.
I very gently pick her up and take her to the bathroom.
*at the bathroom *
I sit Kiva down on the sink facing me. She has her head held low and I see tears rolling down her cheeks and landing on her hands that are scrunching up the hem o her shirt.
"I need you to lift up your shirt a little bit so I can look at your cuts." I say as calmly as I can without showing how upset I really am.
She reluctantly lifts it up. I take a look at her back and it's horrible. There's so many cuts and a few burn marks as well. I cringe.
go under her sink and I find a first aid kit. I start cleaning up her wounds. If you times she cringes a little but she doesn't do that a lot.
"Julius please don't tell anyone. Don't ask. I really just don't want to talk about it."
" I have to get you out of here I'm not gonna ask I promise. But you're not staying here."
Cuba shakes her head okay and she gets off the sink and start walking back to her room. I walk in after her and I see that she had gotten a duffel bag and started packing her clothes in it. I go to one of her drawers and I start helping her pack up.
After an hour or two we're done and we're in my car and at my house. Before we get out of the car Kiva leans over and gives me a peck on the cheek. Then she giggles and gets out of the car. I fell out of the car and we walked up to my front door. I'll unlock the front door and we walk inside the house. She gasped and goes wide eyed.
"It is such a beautiful house. I can't believe it." I chuckle a little at her response.
"I plan on one day making it bigger and making at the pack house What do you think about that?"
"Oh my goodness yes. That would be awesome. The pack having a place to all get together."
Kiva smiles.
