Overwatch High School: Mercy x Male Reader

-Chapter 20-

Rain had started pouring while all four of us sit at the table quietly eating. It was quiet until Reinhardt broke the silence. "So, you said there was a story? I am interested."

My brother put his fork down, but never looks up. When he does, he looks at me. "Do you wanna stay for it?..."

"I...I'm fine, Go ahead." I say ending with a weak smile. I could feel Angela's hand wrap around mine.

"Alright...So...As you know, (Y/N) and I are brothers. Before we went and came here to Germany, We lived in (H/C) (Home country) with our mum and dad. Everything was going great until stressed piled up in my fathers work. He came home tired and soon enough he started drinking. He always came home drunk and always started fights with our mum. But, it got worst as time went by. From starting fights, he began hitting her. It was bad, but not as bad as it could be. They were simple slaps. But it did evolve into more serious things. He started beating her. Full blown punches. And then...it was the last straw..." My brother was trying not to break down. I've never seen him cry, but he looks like he is about to. I already felt my warm tears form. Angela was already crying. Reinhardt had looks of sympathy in his eyes.

"He started raping our mum...And...as time went on, we all went into the kitchen to her lifeless, pale body hanging from a rope." (B/N) and I couldn't hold it. I broke but my brother stood strong. He had a tear going down his eye. Reinhardt's facial expression was plagued in sadness. Angela buried her face into my arm.

"Well...after we buried the body in our back yard, our dad still went off to get drunk. But he came home only to beat my brother and I.  I did still get a job, and when Overwatch saw my skills, they wanted me to come here. They told me they will do the fees. And from there I got a job in gun manufacturing. I was even able to send (Y/N) here to their school. I took the opprotunity when I could, and came straight to Germany taking him with me since I had the chance."

Angela is still crying on my arm. I wrap that same arm around her, so instead she is crying on my chest. Reinhardt does notice this but then looks down onto the table. "You guys mind if I take Angela somewhere to calm down?..." 

Reinhardt replies softly  with a simple "Ja..." 

I help Angela out of her seat and lead her into my room. We did get a bed now, so I set her down on that. I sit down after her, and wrap a arm around her, pulling Angela closely. "Here..." I say softly and put her down so she is laying down on the bed. She pulls me down, and grabs my arm softly and wraps it around her so that it was against her chest. She was facing the wall and I was behind her. She curls up to me and quietly sobs. 

A good 20 minutes passed before she was quietly asleep, breathing softly. I hear the door open quietly, and see the frame of the tall man and my brother. They both smile and walk out. I guess it looked like I was asleep.

"This world is too dark for such a girl as you, Angela..." I say softly and slowly drift off to sleep, embracing Angela.
