Prologue

"Dev! Danny!" Mom called from downstairs, alert was in her voice. "Please come down right now."

What did she want now?

I forced myself to stand up from my bed and went downstairs to where my mom was.

"Sit down." My mom urged Danny, my little brother, and I to sit in front of her on the couch.

My mom, Danny and I were all seated in the living room. We had a short starting contest, just staring at each other while waiting for our mom to talk.

"I have news." My mom said, her expression was unreadable.

"What is it?" Danny asked intently.

"We're moving." Mom answered. She looked like she was nervous while she waited for our reactions.

"What? When? Where?" Danny and I both dodged her questions. We were actually pretty excited which made our mom let out a sigh of relief.

"We're moving in a month to Sta. Barbara, California. I thought it was time for a change." Mom answered our questions.

My mom gave us more details about our move and my brother and I excitedly listened.

I was excited. I wasn't even sad that we were going to move away from Virginia. Yeah, I'd miss my friends here but I was willing to get away from here.

I've decided to make a new story and just not finish Making It so I deleted that (not like any of you care lol) but yeahh. I hope this one works out 'cause I'm trying to improve my writing skills. (: Vote and comment, it doesn't take a while to do so (: Thank you!
