James' chest was covered in dried blood when he woke up. He was on something and moving very quickly. After further inspection, he realized that-
"OH MY GOD I'M ON TOP OF A WOLF CREATURE THING I'M GONNA DIE!" James screamed, quickly rolling off and hitting the ground with a thud
Dolly snapped, "That was Sam. From before. He was taking you to camp."
"Oh," James mumbled, "Whoops." Sam stopped and ran back to James. He sniffed and nudged his arm with his nose. James caught himself petting and scratching Sam's ears, who responded with a sort of loud purring.
He winced as Sam turned human and picked him up, walking at a normal pace. James muttered, "I can walk."
Sam smirked and James quickly said, "Don't drop me ple-" Sam did exactly that, dropping him on the ground. James huffed and stood up, brushing himself off. They continued walking, the moon shining over them.
James squinted his eyes and looked ahead. There seemed to be a random doorway or entry way at the edge of a clearing, but there was nothing around to look at. "Is... this the camp?" James asked, glancing at Sam.
Sam nodded and stepped through the entryway. He smiled and gestured for James to walk in too. "No," James laughed, "No I-I'm fine right here thanks." Sam rolled his eyes and pulled James through the entry way.
Immediately everything around James was lit up and bustling with life. There were all sorts of creatures walking around. Witches, zombies, a skeleton or two, sorcerers, fairies, pixies, wolves, everything!
James felt like he was gonna pass out again and took a few deep breaths. "Okay." He mumbled, "Okay this is fine. I'm fine." Sam laughed and took his arm.
"Come on! I should take you to the health wing so we can patch you up." Sam laughed, pulling him through the crowds of monsters and creatures. James avoided eye contact, mostly because they were all staring at him anyway.
They finally arrived at what James assumed was the health wing and was led inside. There was a woman there with dark (almost black) brown skin, light brown freckles, dark green eyes, and a dark dark purple hijab. James didn't recognize her and mumbled, "Dolly?"
The woman smiled and shook her head. She walked over and took James' hand, leading him to the back of the tent. She opened the tent flap, which lead to a much bigger tent. There were a couple different creatures inside, laying in the different cots and resting. But in the back there was a woman, maybe a few inches taller than James, and scrambling around to find something.
She had bright purple hair with neon blue streaks in it, pulled tight into a messy bun. The girl had plump red lips (rare to find in women these days unless she was... well a hooker), pale blue eyes, almost grayish brown skin, and wore ripped up hunter's clothing. James waited a moment before saying, "Dolly?"
The girl turned around with a bright smile and ran to James. She hugged him tightly and giggled, "James!!! You made it alive!!! I'm so happy!!! God, its been so long since we led a human to the camp!!! We tried with so many others but, um, this is the first time it worked!!!"
James nodded a little and asked quietly, "Can I get an answer on what's going on?" Dolly sighed. She slowly drowned and brought him over to an empty cot.
"I will answer all of your questions soon, but right now I suggest that you rest." She advised. James drowned but laid down in the cot. She pulled a thin sheet over him and kissed his head. Dolly and the other woman walked out of the larger tent and into the smaller one.
Dolly rambled, "Should I heal him now? Is he gonna be okay? What if he isnt the one? What if this is all going wrong? Oh, God! What if Aaron gets mad at me?"
Abigail, after rixing her hijab a little, put a sucker in Dolly's mouth. Dolly shut up and ate the sucker. She nodded, understanding that now was not the time to worry. "I'll go check the border lines to see if they're secure? You wanna join?" Abigail asked softly. Dolly shook her head.
"Nah, Aaron's gonna kick my ass when he sees James here. I'm gonna get that over with." Dolly joked. Abigail smiled and ruffled her hair. As the woman left Dolly called out, "Be safe please!!!" Abigail left the health wing and Dolly looked away.
"He's gonna beat me up so much he'll have to get his centaur shoes replaced..."
