*Note; this chapter is dedicated to Drishtaayy because her work was what inspired me to actually pursue my idea of making an account to actually use my writing abilities and well as read the wonderful stories everyone else has been writing up. I recommend you check it out as well!

This is in the making. I should have an update that could be every day or once a week. It all just depends on life.

Also, the first two chapters are more like background to know the characters. They can be skipped and the story would still make sense, but I figured they're important for character development. c:

I paced behind the stage uneasily. Tomas - the band's guitarist - was no where to be found, and I had to give him his capo! Yes, it was the clip he had lost and it was certainly a high priority to give it to him, or else his guitar wouldn't be in the right octave. Great right? Exhaling slowly I paced around, passing a few bands, not really caring about the looks they gave me as I did so, the stress was already too overwhelming.

Running a hand through my brown locks of hair, I pushed it out of my face, tucking the strands behind my ear. Maybe he had gone to get something to eat, he was talking about how hungry he was earlier. I stopped in my tracks, taking in my surroundings. There! Macy - the keyboardist - could certainly find him. I took quick steps, catching the girl.

"Macy, if you see Tomas can you give him this?" I questioned with hope, and Macy seemed to instantly picked up on my worry.

Snatching the capo Macy smiled, "Don't worry your head, Cosette, we've got two hours before this thing even starts. I'll get this to him, why don't you chill out?"

I flashed a smile, "Okay, okay, I'll try. No promises though." Macy and I seemed to always have some sort of sister-like relationship. Macy, being a year older, I being eighteen, always liked to treat me like a younger sister, even though she, herself, was more irresponsible. Though, Macy always seemed to help me unwind.

"How about you hang out for a while, that's what most people are doing, I mean we set this all up all week, perhaps go meet a cute guy." she wink, nudging me with her elbow.

"Oh shut up." I laughed, pushing the girl away jokingly, "I'm just going to go grab a water, make sure you find Tomas at some point."

As I walked off, I hoped to run into someone else from my own band, feeling like the odd one out of everyone, but the bassist(Alexander but they tend to just refer to him as Alex), drummer (Cody), and the electric guitarist (Nicole) were no where to be found. Great. Just great. Grabbing a water out of the cooler provided for everyone, I opened it before taking a sip only to screw the lid back on. My eyes studied all of the bands backstage.

There was quite a few bands actually, perhaps seven or so? Quite a few for a festival. All of them were quite different as well, some being alternative like my own band K.O. the name having have been Macy's idea after a wild night of video games. Who knew they could be musically inspiring?

I wondered if it was an option to slip off the festival stage, perhaps walk around outside, but heaven knew there were probably people already gathered out there, so maybe my best bet was to say back stage.

Taking another sip of my water, I peered around, trying to spot where in the world most of my band went. I found myself with very little confidence to speak to any of the groups that had already arrived. It wasn't like I was an amateur, but I felt like a rookie compared to them. K.O hadn't been popular long at all, actually it was only four months ago that the band had risen to the charts after much hard work. Sure, our talent made us deserve to have a spot at the festival, but I almost felt like an outcast.
