[ Caleb's P.O.V. ]
"Actually, no, I think this can work in our favor..." I trailed off but was soon cut off by Aiden.
"What in the world are you thinking?"
"No really. We could just let it's suspicions rise up, I mean, hell it's free publicity, and besides this is just hilarious. We can disavow it in a few days or so."
Aiden shot me a look of disbelief, and then his face softened in understanding. "I see. Caleb, that's actually a really good idea."
"Well of course, Aiden, it's because I thought of it!"
"Don't get too full of yourself. We haven't even started tour yet!" He paused before continuing, "What do we do if Cosette finds out?"
"She'll understand. I doubt news will get around that fast, and she'll probably found out after we disavow it, so I doubt there will be a problem."
"I see." Aiden said raising his arms over his head.
I couldn't help but chuckle as I ruffled his hair, "Come on, let's get in the game. I need to be on the winning team, you know."
Aiden rolled his eyes, as he followed me back.
[ Cosette's P.O.V. ]
No, no, no! That hit was all kinds of wrong. It was odd how you could just tell when you'd hit the ball wrong, and it wouldn't go where you wanted it to. Though, the volley ball managed to stay in play. It came back toward our side and I heard Nicole call out, "Mine," before she bumped it over the net. Really, it was a pretty enjoyable game until Jodi, who was on the other team, spiked it back seemingly purposely in my face. Before I could flinch, it hit me straight on, forcing me to topple backwards slightly. I could hear Jodi laughing.
"Cosette?" who ever the voice was had steadied me from behind. It took a moment but I eventually looked over my shoulder to realize it was Caleb, "Are you okay?" he questioned, wiping the blood from my nose.
"I uh." God. Is that really all I could get out? I mentally was stabbing myself at this point. "I'm okay."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." I said standing up straight and readjusting my shirt. I could feel his eyes studying me, trying to make sure I wasn't lying. And really, I wasn't.
He chuckled, ruffling my hair slightly, "You really haven't changed a bit. Still as hardheaded as I remember."
"Oh shut up." I mumbled, but I wasn't really mad.
"See!" He exclaimed before sighing, "Are you sure you don't want to sit out?"
My eyebrows furrowed at his question, "I'm certain."
"Okay, but I'll switch you places. You can play in the back."
I didn't even have time to protest, but I couldn't help but grin slightly. He was still that little shit I could remember from my childhood.
"Mine!" Tomas called, warning his teammate that he was going for the ball, but it seemed that Macy was already running to quickly for it and the two of them collided, sending them into an argument.
"You should have moved, asshole!" Macy yelled.
"Well, if you weren't so tone deaf, maybe you might have heard me."
Their bickering went on until Nicole went over to break the two apart before they tore out each others' eyes and hair. Their little fight was what convinced us all to go back to the hotel and just sort of hang out for a little while.
After we arrived back, I ran off to my room to change into comfier clothes, before I sat down on my bed and read through current events, killing some time before I'd need to grab some dinner. There were all the usual articles involving all of hollywood's secrets and upcoming movies, there were topics on politics, but one specific image struck my attention. It was of Caleb and I.
As if on cue, Caleb walked in my room. I couldn't really contain what I was feeling at that moment. "Is this the only reason you wanted us to go on tour with you guys? So you could-could spread lies like these, for what?" I somewhat yelled showing him the phone screen.
A look of sincerity washed over his face as he looked at me, and I almost felt bad for yelling at him. Almost. Taking my phone, he set it aside before grabbing both of my wrists. "That's not true Cosette. I didn't know anyone was going to take that picture. I saw it earlier, but I didn't want to bring it up. I'm going to write out against it later, okay?"
I just nodded, all I could really do was believe him. I'd find out rather soon if he was lying to me anyway, "Okay."
I could feel one of his hands let go of my wrist and smooth down the back of my hair, "Why don't we go grab some food from down stairs?"
"You're going to have to beat me first!" I chuckled, darting out of the room and down the hall.
"Oh no you don't, Cosette!" I heard him laugh after me, his footsteps getting closer and closer. I managed to make it a little ways before he caught me, and pressed me against the wall, his chin resting against the top of my head, even though he had to slouch to do that. He was breathing a bit heavier than I, but he was able to breathe out, "I win."
I laughed as I pushed him away, "Only for now."
"I think I'll take a kiss as my prize." He teased, grabbing my chin and making me flush instantly.
"I don't think so." I joked back, sticking my tongue out at him before we walked the rest of the way to grab a bit of food.
He made a fake scoffing noise, "Oh but come one. Who wouldn't want to kiss me."
"Millions of people." I replied instantly with a slight smirk before grabbing a drink and a quick snack. Just as I did so, I noticed Nicole coming over.
"Hey!" She said with a soft smile, grabbing what she wanted, "Cosette, we should so eat together in my room, I have something I need a bit of help with."
"Oh, okay." I said, before following her to her room, for certainly Caleb wouldn't mind, right? I hoped not, because it seemed whatever Nicole was thanking about it was pretty serious.
I followed her to her room, before plopping down in a seated position on the bed, next to her. "What do you need help with?"
"Well..." she trailed off, "I don't really need help."
"What do you need then?"
"Do you like Caleb?"
"Of course, he's a good friend."
"Cosette, I mean do you like Caleb?"
