Harry;

3 months have past and nothing has changed. The awkwardness hasn't left...only got worse. Louis was trying hard to help me with everything but I keep telling him he didn't need too.

All week Louis had been on the phone talking to people, making arrangements, leaving me alone in the house. I can't work out what was happening and when I confronted Louis all I got was 'it's nothing' or 'it doesn't matter'. I'm angry and upset. I feel like I've done something. Am I the reason Louis didn't want to talk to him?

February 1st. My birthday.

I swung my legs out of bed and rubbed my eyes. I stood and walked over to the bathroom. I took off my boxers and jumped into the shower. The warm water hitting my skin, relaxing me.  I sighed in content. I quickly washed my body and hair, shut off the water and got out. I wrapped a towel round my waist and left the bathroom. I suddenly stopped in my tracks when I saw Louis stood in the middle of the room with a pile of clothes in his arms.

"Louis?"  I questioned quietly.

"Sorry, I just brought your washing." Louis replied quickly, laying the clothes on my bed and strolling out of the room. I sighed in slight disappointment. I looked through the clothes and settled on a plain white shirt and black jeans. Once dressed I went downstairs and into the kitchen, a note left on the table.

'Haz,

I've gone out. Liam's took Belle.

Don't worry, be back soon.

Lou'

I sighed and sat down on the chair. Thoughts wandering through my mind. Year after year my birthday was the same. Spent alone....no one caring. I had somehow thought this year would be different but obviously not. Louis hadn't remembered and had other things to do. I can't exactly blame Louis though, he has his own life and doesn't need to look after a stupid idiot like me.

My thoughts were cut short by a knock on the door. I walked over and opened the door to see no one. I looked down and noticed another note...guiding me out to the driveway. I staggered slowly in fear of what I was about to see. As I rounded the corner I noticed a brand new white BMW with red ribbon wrapped around it. My face dropped. Shock over took me.

"Louis?" I questioned. I looked around trying to find where he was hiding. "I know you're out here Louis."

Hands wrapped around my eyes. A beaming smile was now apparent on my face.

"Guess who?" Louis whispered into my ear. A shiver going down my spine.

"Erm...I don't know."

Louis gasped in shock and walked in front of me. I burst out laughing.

I finally calmed down and started questioning Louis about the car in the driveway. Louis just smiled.

"A beautiful car for a beautiful man." My eyes widened and pointed to myself. Louis nodded and confirmed the car was for me. He held the keys out on his index finger and gestured them towards me. I slowly took the keys from Louis and got in the car.

"You like?" Louis asked.

"I love it." I admitted to Louis. I slowly backed out the driveway and took the car for a ride.

Louis;

"BE CAREFUL!" I shouted after Harry.

Step 1 complete, I smiled excitedly. I walked into the house, grabbed the suit and shoes from the cupboard downstairs and jogged up to Harry's room.

I laid the suit neatly out on the bed with the shoes. I wrote another note telling Harry to be ready by 7. I left Harry's room, entered mine and got ready. I walked downstairs and left the house to prepare for the rest of the night.

Harry;

An hour later I came home. I pulled up and turned off the engine. I walked into the house, placed my keys in the bowl and wandered into the living room. I expected to see Louis watching TV like normal but he wasn't.

"Louis? You home?" I shouted. No response.

I stalked up the stairs and checked every room. His room hadn't been touched, neither had the music room. I walked into my room, my eyes landing upon the suit laid perfectly on the bed. I walked over to the bed and picked up the note, reading it. I checked my phone,  looking at the time.

6:30.

I quickly changed into the suit and shoes. I placed the little hanky into the front pocket. I walked into the bathroom and stood in front of the mirror. I straightened myself up, sorted my curly hair and sprayed some aftershave. I checked my phone once again and jumped at the sound of a horn beeping. I rushed downstairs and out the door. I was greeted by a nice gentleman holding open the car door of Louis Audi. I climbed into the backseat and sighed.

Where am I going? Why was Louis doing this?

Okay, I realise that last question was stupid...it was my birthday after all but I still can't understand why!

"Mr. Styles? Were here."

I looked out the window and saw a beautiful Italian restaurant. I smiled happily with content. The driver opened the door and I stepped out of the car. I was then greeted by 3 other people before being shown to a table. However, I wasn't shown to a table. I was taken upstairs and outside on the balcony. As the waiter opened the doors, I saw rose petals scattered over the floor, fairly lights and candles lighting the balcony and a beautifully set up table. I walked over to the table and sat down. I was in awe.

Louis walked through the doors with a bouquet of roses in hand. He walked over to me and passed me the bouquet.

"Happy birthday Haz." Louis smiled widely. I can't believe that someone had gone to so much effort for me.

"Thank you Lou." I managed to say. Louis sat in front of me. Sweet music began to play around us. I swear my smile got wider. The waiter came to take our order and left.

"Why Lou?" I questioned, taking a sip from my wine.

"Harry, you ask too many questions." Louis replied, smirking. I chuckled.

"Sorry. It's beautiful by the way." I nodded towards the effort Louis had made. I began to eat my food.  Louis thanked me and tucked into his own food. Over dinner we made simple small talk, finally getting to know each other.

Once finished, Louis stood from his seat and held his hand out to me. I looked at Louis' hand then back at him.

"Take it."

"Why?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Do you trust me?"

I nodded, standing too take hold of Louis' hand and followed him. I have no idea where he was taking me but I just went along with it. I didn't question Louis, I didn't say anything.

After walking for about 10 minutes, I finally got my bearings. Louis sped up and began to run, his hand slowly leaving mine. My hand went cold with the loss of warmth. Louis turned around and smiled.

"Know where we are?" Louis questioned. I smiled and sat down upon a bench.

"Of course." Is all I replied with.

"Where?"

"The park we first ever met. You was with Liam and Niall. You kicked that stupid ball at me." I chuckled, smiling at the memory.

"And you brought it back to me with Belle..."

"I did." I smiled once again and looked at Louis. Louis pulled out a little pocked knife. He started carving H + L into the bench. Once he had finished he sat down beside me and laid his hand on top of mine. His thumb lightly rubbing my hand. My eyes never left Louis'.

"The first day I ever fell in love."

I turned to Louis and looked into his eyes. My walls finally breaking. Louis leaned towards me and softly kissed me. I relaxed against Louis soft lips. I kissed him back softly.
